New Xpeng, believed to be the G7, spied and likely designed as a global car

Fresh spy shots of Xpeng’s latest automotive innovation have surfaced on Weibo as of January 8, offering a sneak peek at the upcoming release. Rumors are circulating among web users suggesting the name of the latest car model may be the G7. Innovative electric vehicle manufacturer XPeng G9 is poised to revolutionize the industry with its latest offering, set to debut in upcoming MIIT listings, with insiders teasing a “very highly effective automotive” that will take the world by storm.

The brand-new automotive appears to be only slightly larger than its predecessor, the G6, with a design that suggests it may well be an SUV coupe model, as hinted by its rear profile. The latest reports suggest that the newly introduced automotive model is likely to incorporate the design cues from the P7+, implying a harmonious visual connection between the two.

The latest automotive designs prioritize driving comfort, fuel efficiency, and intelligent driving features. The Onvo L60’s power consumption is typically around 12.1 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers, so it’s essential to factor this into your planning.

As reports suggest, Xpeng is poised to abandon its reliance on Nvidia chips for future developments, leaving room for the possibility that this model could pioneer the use of a self-designed smart driving chip. The autonomous vehicle will leverage XNGP as standard, pairing it with the Hawk AI system, which relies exclusively on computer vision, eliminating the need for a Lidar unit.

According to feedback from Xpeng’s public relations peak, the brand-new vehicle is poised to debut in a dual-motor configuration, a feature currently absent from the P7+.

The G7 will likely fall between the dimensions of the G6, measuring 4753mm by 1920mm by 1650mm, and those of the G9, at 4891mm by 1937mm by 1670mm.

If the MIIT items are listed as expected later this month, we will likely begin seeing significant sales by late Q2. Xpeng is likely seeking a profitable SUV to complement its recent success in the sedan segment, particularly with the G9 and P7+ models.

As exports increasingly become a vital component of Xpeng’s revenue, it seems likely that the G7 has been designed with global markets in mind.
