Zeekr is set to initiate large-scale production of the Zeekr RT, a bespoke variant of the Zeekr Combine specifically customized by Waymo, within the next 12 months. Deliveries of Zeekr’s RT robotaxi model to Waymo are scheduled to begin later in 2025.

Zeekr’s forthcoming RT minivan is set to make history as the world’s first mass-produced vehicle specifically designed with autonomous driving capabilities, according to Zeekr. At the recent CES launch event, Zeekr CEO Andy An announced that this marks the first Chinese automotive brand to enter the US market.

Geely’s all-electric Zeekr RT model was officially unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, marking a significant milestone for the innovative automaker. The corporation also introduced an autonomous driving zone controller built upon the NVIDIA Drive AGX Thor processor.

Nvidia has designed Thor, a cutting-edge system-on-chip (SoC), exclusively tailored to support the demands of autonomous driving and intelligent vehicle applications. Nvidia has introduced Thor as its latest autonomous vehicle computing platform, succeeding the successful Drive Orin architecture.

Zeekr asserts that its newly introduced Area Controller establishes it as the pioneering automotive manufacturer to seamlessly integrate the Thor System-on-Chip (SoC). Mass production of the innovative area controller is slated to commence in 2025, with the DXE1, a large electric SUV, being the first vehicle to incorporate this technology. Zeekr hasn’t disclosed a specific launch date for DXE1, but it’s expected to debut within the third quarter, in line with previous information.

The Zeekr Combine minivan measures 4,668mm in length, 1,995mm in width, and 1,775mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,008mm. The vehicle’s entrance wheels boast an impressive flipping ability, capable of rotating over 50 degrees, resulting in a remarkably tight turning radius of just 4.95 metres. The vehicle’s height exceeds that of a Mini Cooper, measuring under 4 meters in length.

The Zeekr Combine’s powertrain features a rear-axle-mounted electric motor boasting a peak output of 310 kW, equivalent to 415 horsepower. This household minivan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. The Zeekr Combine features a conventional 76 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery configuration. The 550km route proves suitable under CLTC conditions. The innovative technology ensures seamless compatibility with 5.5C charging protocols. The charging capacity of the Zeekr Combine exceeds its battery potential by approximately five and a half times. This pack can cost between 10% and 80% in just 10.5 minutes.
