The 2025 Toyota Prius remains unaltered, except for the addition of a minor feature enhancement.
The base Prius LE model now comes at a price comparable to that of its 2024 equivalent, including the mandatory $1,135 destination fee. The Prius XLE’s price will rise in tandem with its more premium counterpart, climbing to $32,930. Toyota has boosted the appeal of its top-of-the-line Restricted trim by adding luxurious features such as heated and ventilated front seats and a larger touchscreen display, now priced at $36,500, a $400 increase.
The Prius Nightshade offers essentially identical design enhancements to other Toyota Nightshade models, focusing on aesthetic improvements rather than performance or functionality tweaks. Starting at $33,630 for the vacation package, this model features 19-inch black wheels and a sleek black exterior trim.
2025 Toyota Prius
Introduced for the 2023 model year with a significantly refined design compared to its predecessor, the Prius now features a more streamlined silhouette, while continuing to power its hybrid system with a tried-and-trusted 2.0-liter inline-four engine. While front-wheel drive is standard, a $1,400 upgrade offers an all-wheel-drive system featuring a dedicated electric motor powering the rear wheels.
The entrance-wheel drive models produce 194 horsepower, while the all-wheel drive models boast a slightly higher rating of 196 horsepower. EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings, expected to remain consistent at 32 city, 40 highway, and 36 combined for rear-wheel drive models, as well as 30 city, 38 highway, and 33 combined for all-wheel drive versions.
For the 2025 model year, Toyota continues to offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain option, now simply known as the Prius Plug-In Hybrid, having opted to discontinue the Prime designation for both this model and its plug-in hybrid counterpart in the RAV4. While the mannequin remains unaltered, it still achieves an impressive 44 miles of EPA-certified electric range and a combined 51 mpg, alongside a swift 0-60 mph acceleration in 6.6 seconds.
