Hyundai revealed its latest electric vehicle, the Kona Electric SUV, on Thursday. With its bold styling influenced by Hyundai’s IONIQ series, the EV boasts an impressive range of nearly 300 miles. Here is the rewritten text:

Hyundai unveils Creta EV variant and specifications.

Hyundai’s CEO for Indian operations, Tarun Garg, described the Creta EV as a significant milestone, emphasizing that it represents the company’s first locally assembled electric SUV in India.

Despite having sold over 1.1 million units of its Creta SUV, Hyundai claims that its electric version will revolutionize the market.

Hyundai’s latest electric SUV represents a significant leap forward from its gasoline-powered counterpart. You may notice the introduction of novel IONIQ-inspired design elements, accompanied by a fresh, high-resolution pixelated front grille, reimagined lower bumper, and sleek LED taillights. The innovative vehicle boasts upgraded features including the latest New Lively Air Flaps (AAF), cutting-edge Aero Alloy Wheels, and specially designed Low Rolling Resistance tyres that significantly enhance its performance and fuel economy.

The brand-new Hyundai Creta EV features two battery pack options: a 42-kilowatt-hour (kWh) or 51.4-kilowatt-hour (kWh) choice. Previous routes yield 242 miles of diverse ARAI driving experience, while the latter offers a more extensive 293 miles of varied terrain.

The DC Quick Charging feature enables this electric SUV to replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes. Priced similarly to the 11 kW Sensible Link Wall Field charger, this unit could fully charge in just 4 hours, representing a cost of 10% to 100%.

Hyundai’s latest electric SUV builds upon its gasoline-powered counterpart, boasting innovative features such as vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, allowing users to power electronic devices on-the-go, in addition to portable power capabilities. The vehicle also boasts an innovative ergonomically designed shift-by-wire driving system and a cutting-edge digital key, further enhancing user comfort.

The Hyundai Creta EV comes in four trims: Government, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Customers can opt for one of 13 distinct exterior colors: eight single-tone hues, two dual-tone combinations, and three flat matte shades, plus an exclusive ocean blue finish paired with a sleek black roof.

Hyundai is expected to unveil pricing details closer to the official launch of its new model, which is slated for January 17, 2025, at the Bharat Mobility International Expo. The 2024 Hyundai Creta’s gasoline-powered variant starts at around $12,800 (approximately ₹10.99 lakh), while its electric counterpart is expected to debut at roughly $25,000 (around ₹22.0 lakh).

Here’s the improved version:

The new Hyundai Creta electric SUV is unlikely to venture outside of the US market. Notwithstanding the launch of the all-new 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 and its inaugural three-row variant, the IONIQ 9, both models are now eligible for the $7,500 US federal tax incentive.

The all-new Hyundai Creta Electric, with its sleek and futuristic design, redefines the notion of a compact SUV. With an estimated range of 300 kilometers on a single charge, this eco-friendly vehicle is poised to revolutionize the way we travel. Are you considering a splurge on a luxury item priced around $25,000? Are you torn between the innovative designs of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and 9 models, wondering which one will better fit your unique style? Tell us within the feedback.
