Despite Toyota’s reputation for understated design, the automaker is introducing a new variant of its electric SUV. Following the sighting of Toyota’s bZ4X in the US with off-road enhancements and a matte green finish, is the highly anticipated model finally on its way to market?
Toyota’s bZ4X boasts a rugged design and a sleek, matte green colour scheme.
Although Toyota launched its bZ4X electric SUV in 2022, it has struggled to gain significant momentum in the US market thus far.
Throughout its initial nine months in the market in 2024, Toyota’s bZ4X electric vehicle has garnered significant traction in the US, with a total of 13,577 units sold as of that time. Although this represents more than double the approximately 6,500 units sold through November 2023, it remains a far cry from fuel-efficient and hybrid models like the RAV4, which has already exceeded 350,000 sales this year.
The 2025 bZ4X SUV boasts an even more assertive design, boasting a significant cost reduction of up to $6,000 compared to its predecessor.
The 2025 Toyota bZ4X kicks off at an affordable $37,070. Toyota introduced a new Nightshade edition, marking its inaugural electrified iteration.
The Nightshade model is based on the XLE trim, featuring standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and distinct styling enhancements, including 20-inch wheels, blackout exterior accents, and a dash of purple interior stitching for added flair.
The Toyota bZ4X Nightshade edition is expected to offer a choice between single-tone and two-tone exterior colour schemes. Does that embody matte inexperienced?
A sleek, matte green finish now adorns the exterior of Toyota’s bZ4X as it makes its debut outside the company’s regional office in Los Angeles, sporting fresh off-road accessories that hint at its rugged capabilities. Newly released images from purportedly show a potential brand-new Nightshade trim.
Despite this, Toyota announced that the latest iteration will be available in Wind Chill Pearl or Heavy Steel hues paired with a sleek black roof option. Why settle for an all-black exterior when you could opt instead for a sleek, understated matte green that makes a subtle yet striking statement? Extra options may soon be available, enhancing your experience with tailored preferences. So, another car on the road, nothing more to see here?
