Though the TV show may be over, its masked racing driver – a high-speed enthusiast known only as “the Stig” – continues to thrive, and his latest adventure involves putting the 1,400-horsepower electric Ford SuperVan demonstration car through its paces on the iconic Top Gear test track. .

Whether discussing document lap times at iconic motorsports venues like Bathurst or the Hillclimb on Goodwood’s velocity-filled stage, we’ve been following the 1,400-hp SuperVan project closely – and the boxy Transit-inspired racing van, with its hypercar-beating performance, never fails to captivate.

The latest iteration of the iconic Ford boxy racer, featured on the official YouTube channel, has apparently surged ahead with an astonishing 600-peak-horsepower boost, elevating its output to a formidable 2,000 horsepower overall? The Stig employs the gathered horses with considerable intensity, attempting to claim the overall leaderboard report.

I won’t reveal the outcome, but suffice it to say that even the most ardent opponents of electric vehicles would concede that the SuperVan is an impressively quick vehicle.

What’s the top speed of a 2000-horsepower Ford Transit van in its SuperVan 4.2 configuration?

Even with an impressive 2,000 horsepower, rapid torque delivery, and a significant weight of over 4,000 pounds Despite its aerodynamic downforce, the SuperVan couldn’t surpass the Renault R24 and Lotus T125 Exos, which had long held the top two spots, but it did manage to secure a third-place finish with a time of 1:05.3.

As unlikely as it may seem, that third-place finish could actually become a permanent fixture on ‘s leaderboard, given that the very monitor itself is destined for demolition in the not-too-distant future?
