The essential fuel for your life: Energy & Pace. Do You Need It?
As an aspiring Class 3 electric bicycle, the Heybike Hauler is capable of reaching top speeds of up to 28 mph (45 km/h) when using both throttle and pedal assistance in unison. Typically, Class 3 e-bikes are designed to throttle-assist up to 28 mph, not 20 mph, which pushes the limits of even a generous interpretation of the three-class e-bike framework. Despite this, many individuals still enjoy the thrill of rapid acceleration on throttle alone, which is likely to bring joy to a significant number of people.
The 1400W motor propels riders quickly up inclines and over hills, essential capabilities for heavily laden cargo e-bikes.
Heybike asserts a maximum load capacity of 440 pounds (200 kilograms), an impressive volume that surpasses the needs of many users, likely exceeding the typical carrying capacity of most people. The bike weighs around 88 to 97 pounds, depending on the model, which means a substantial weight of approximately 40-44 kilograms is already factored in.

This sleek and compact design makes it easy to install in your garage or take on the go, giving you the flexibility to charge anywhere. With its advanced technology and reliable performance, this battery pack is ideal for those who demand top-notch quality.
So which battery will you choose?
Twin battery-powered electric bicycles are my passion, and what excites me even more is the ability to select an additional battery when needed.
The Heybike Hauler offers the option to pair either a single 864Wh battery or combine it with another battery to create a total capacity of 1,464Wh.
The e-bike boasts an impressive battery capacity, with the manufacturer claiming a maximum range of up to 85 miles (136 km) when utilizing pedaling assistance. Even without throttling, you’re likely to achieve more than half of that impressive range, providing substantial variability for a large e-bike.
The Hauler arrives equipped with numerous practical features, including fold-up footrails at the rear to prevent children’s toes from straying into the wheel hub, as well as integrated safety protectors for added peace of mind. Although the body rails were slightly exposed, this created additional opportunities to secure cargo, while the guards themselves appeared sleek and harmonized with the motorcycle’s aesthetic.
While the paintwork may seem unexpectedly luxurious, especially considering this e-bike’s starting point at a relatively affordable US $1,399. The bright blue paint has a mesmerizing metallic sheen, reminiscent of high-gloss auto finishes, and undoubtedly grabs attention.
There are also attractive features, including a prominent LCD display, a headlight and taillight with flip signals – though one wonders about their actual effectiveness – a sturdy double kickstand for safe parking and child loading, a second side stand for effortless parking on flat surfaces, and potent hydraulic disc brakes.
Nothing really matters.
There are both many things to appreciate and some issues to address. The entry-level fork lacks a premium feel, failing to deliver the same level of quality suspension found in slightly pricier options, giving users a subpar riding experience.
It’s neither inherently healthy nor unhealthful; rather, its effects are ambiguous and context-dependent. It simply . This text doesn’t get jacked around by rough roads or treacherous trails; it’s designed to absorb shocks, so you won’t experience wrist fatigue from hitting curbs, but longevity is another story.
Without hands on the handlebars, subsequent, the bike doesn’t stabilise very well. While some may find this adjustment effortless, it’s often a indication that the bicycle’s geometry, specifically its rake angle and handlebar drop, is not optimally designed. While I’ve grown accustomed to effortlessly navigating numerous electric bikes for extended distances, the Hauler surprisingly insists on leaving me in its dust from the moment I initiate the handlebars’ subtle movement.
Nonetheless some good worth
While not the perfect cargo e-bike available, this model’s modest price point of $1,399 set realistic expectations from the outset. What these hauler units aim to achieve is offering cargo-carrying services at a value that’s accessible to nearly every household, making it simple for them to afford.
This exceptional entrant boasts exhilarating performance, delivering unparalleled acceleration through sheer power alone. Its visually striking appeal is further enhanced by a range of stunning metal-flake paint options. While various cargo e-bikes are gaining traction, the hauler’s unique features – foldable platforms, a user-friendly app, and a contentious 28mph throttle – could prove its competitive edge in this saturated marketplace.
For those constrained by a budget that can’t stretch to the $3,000+ mark for high-end cargo e-bikes, this option provides a notable advantage: affordability.
