General Motors has temporarily halted sales of its Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle (EV) to address quality issues with the onboard software. “We’re aware that a limited number of Blazer EV owners have encountered several software quality issues,” said Scott Bell, Vice President of Global Chevrolet.
“Satisfying buyer needs takes top priority for us, so we’re temporarily halting new shipments to ensure that goal is met.”
Chevrolet confirmed that its stop-sale order was unrelated to safety concerns and impacted a limited range of vehicles, without providing further details.
The corporation is actively addressing issues related to both infotainment system malfunctions and, although rare, malfunctioning public DC quick charging stations.
Following initial assessments and reviews emphasizing key features, the brand-new electric SUV’s performance was put to the test. Notified 23 distinct issues within a span of less than two months.
