Mazda’s EZ-6 officially debuted on October 26 and made a successful entry into the Chinese market, with 2,445 units sold in November alone. With efficiency rivaling that of Changan Mazda, this model earns a spot among the top three mid-size new energy sedans in the Chinese market. Manufacturing production at Changan Mazda’s Nanjing facility has accelerated to match rising demand.

The Mazda EZ-6 is built on Changan’s EPA-hybrid platform, offering a range of seven styles priced between 139,800 and 179,800 yuan ($19,200-$24,700 USD). Available in both all-electric (BEV) and range-extender electric variants. Mazda’s distinctive “Kodo” aesthetic is evident in the design, characterized by the separation of headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a glowing Mazda logo.

The EZ-6 measures approximately 4,921 millimeters in length, 1,890 millimeters in width, and 1,485 millimeters in height, boasting a wheelbase of 2,895 millimeters. It provides a spacious inside. The cabin features a 14.6-inch high-definition infotainment display, a modern digital instrument cluster, and an innovative 50-inch augmented reality heads-up display (AR-HUD) driven by a cutting-edge Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor. The premium amenities of this luxurious vehicle include a vibrant 64-color ambient lighting system, a high-fidelity 14-speaker Sony audio setup, and exclusive zero-gravity reclining entry seats designed for unparalleled comfort.

Beneath its sleek exterior, this innovative electric vehicle is propelled by a potent 190 kW rear motor, paired with two battery options that enable driving distances of either 480 kilometers or 600 kilometers when utilizing the CLTC test cycle. Charging from 30% to 80% occurs in a remarkably swift quarter of an hour. The EREV model combines a 1.5-liter engine generating 70 kilowatts with an electric motor delivering 160 kilowatts, yielding a combined driving range of up to 1,301 kilometers. Charging from 30% to 80% of capacity requires just 20 minutes, rendering it an ideal choice for extended road trips or frequent commutes.
