Within just 37 months of its inaugural production run, Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle brand backed by Geely, has achieved a significant milestone – the manufacture of its 400,000th electric car. As Geely’s compact brand, Zeekr celebrated its 400,000th automotive milestone with the production of the high-tech minivan, boasting an impressive in-cabin area utilisation rate of 93%.
The Zeekr is a premium electric vehicle model under the Geely Group’s brand, launched in 2021. The company’s mannequin line consists of six automobile models. Between January and November 2024, Zeekr successfully delivered a total of 194,933 automobiles, representing an impressive year-over-year increase of 85%. To maintain a high volume of sales, Zeekr manufactures its vehicles across three production plants in China. Located in Hangzhou Bay is the Zeekr manufacturing facility, while in Chengdu and Chunxiao, Geely has established two separate plants.
Zeekr 400,000th automotive
The Zeekr’s 400,000th production milestone was reached with the completion of its Combine minivan model. The all-new model has successfully emerged from Geely’s state-of-the-art Chunxiao production facility. The manufacturing website was established in 2014, producing an annual output of approximately 200,000 units. Excluding the Zeekr Combine, this facility manufactures a range of Geely-branded vehicles, including the Borui sedan and Geely Atlas (also known as Boyue) crossover, among others.
The Zeekr Combine transformed the main pure electrical product produced at its Chunxiao manufacturing site. Prior to the production of the new model, the manufacturing facility underwent a comprehensive renovation in accordance with Geely’s requirements. The technical transformation entailed the construction of two new workshops, a significant expansion of the existing welding and stamping facilities, and the installation of advanced manufacturing equipment to enhance overall efficiency. The annual manufacturing plan for the Zeekr Combine is set at a target of 100,000 vehicles. The raw materials inventory currently takes up nearly 50% of our factory’s storage capacity.
The Zeekr, marking a milestone in its journey, proudly presented its first-ever automobile, which began production on October 19, 2021. The all-new Zeekr 001 electric liftback made its debut. In just over three years, Zeekr has managed to deliver a remarkable 400,000 vehicles, achieving this milestone in an impressive 1,145 days. It’s 37 months.

The Zeekr Combine boasts an impressive in-cabin area utilization rate of 93%, making it a standout model among minivans. The building’s most striking feature is its trio of sliding doorways, an unconventional design choice that sets it apart from others. Given the combined dimensions of these elements, the Zeekr Combine features an entryway with a width of 1480 millimeters. The Zeekr combines come equipped with five spacious seats. The in-car cabin peaks reach a height of 1350 millimeters, while the ground peak stands at a relatively modest 390 millimeters.
The dimensions are 4.67m/1.99m/1.78m, with a wheelbase of 3.01m. Its entrance wheels can flip more than 50 times. The precise measurement revealed a turning radius of precisely 4.95 meters. A single electric motor installed in the rear axle delivers a maximum power output of 310 kilowatts (415 horsepower), propelling the Zeekr Combine. The household minivan accelerates to a speed of 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. The entry-level Zeekr Combine features an impressive 76 kWh LFP battery, allowing for a remarkable range of 550 km. The larger ternary NMC battery pack provides an impressive 102 kWh capacity and a range of approximately 700 km.
The ZEEKR Combine is hardly a budget-friendly option in the automotive market. The salary range for this position varies from 279,800 to 299,900 Chinese yuan, equivalent to approximately 38,500 to 41,200 US dollars.
