Hyundai is manufacturing the 2025 IONIQ 5 models at its state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) production facility in Georgia, USA. US-built Hyundai electric vehicles are eligible for a partial $3,750 tax credit, but Hyundai offsets this limitation by offering the full $7,500 credit to lessees of its EV models. Once the new battery plant is operational in the following year, Hyundai anticipates that its US-manufactured electric vehicles will qualify for the full $7,500 federal tax credit.
Hyundai is poised to gain traction in the US market with the impending launch of its inaugural three-row electric SUV, the IONIQ 9, set to arrive next year.
