With meticulous attention to detail, the team at TNT Bikes – led by Naveem Nandal – has invested over 500 hours in crafting a stunning creation through precise design, 3D modeling, and fabrication expertise. Naveen, the mastermind behind the innovative Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, has christened his latest creation “Parivartan”, or ‘transformation’, in English – a profound rebirth that is nothing short of remarkable.
Starting from scratch with a brand-new, directly-supplied Royal Enfield Shotgun 650, every component has been meticulously stripped down to its most basic form, leaving only the engine and essential structural elements intact. With the manufacturing facility’s forks, bodywork, rear subframe, and swingarm discarded, the TNT crew was able to unleash its creative expertise.
According to Naveen, the concept drew inspiration from the theme of transformation and resilience, reflecting Royal Enfield’s own evolution over time. “What stands out is the harmonious blend of fundamental design principles and pioneering engineering prowess, boasting exceptional stability through thoughtful balance between tradition and innovation.”
The most striking innovations lie in the entrance and rear suspension systems, meticulously crafted through extensive design iterations and subsequently CNC-machined for precision. At the front of the Shotgun 650, a clever design element features girder-style fork legs that masterfully integrate the manufacturing facility’s signature headlight and nacelle, one of the model’s standout characteristics. An intricately crafted aluminium entrance guard hangs suspended from the sturdy 150-section tyre, encircling the robust entrance wheel with a sense of solidity. The brakes have been significantly enhanced by installing twin BYBRE calipers, resulting in the ability to stop the customized Shotgun roughly twice as quickly as the standard bike.
The manufacturing facility dashboard has been upgraded, now situated ahead of a bespoke front spoiler and complemented by CNC-fabricated handlebars. While paying homage to the Royal Enfield Continental GT cafe racer’s design, this bespoke gasoline tank is a singular work of art crafted entirely by hand from aluminum. The sleek, bespoke aluminum appendages jut out from the tank’s profile, harmonizing with the fork legs in a visually stunning display of engineering and design. While it’s undoubtedly stylish, this connection truly functions remarkably well.
With the rear subframe removed, a precision-crafted seat pan emerges as another product born from the CNC router’s meticulous craftsmanship. Manufactured from high-quality aircraft-grade aluminum, this product features a sleek black leather-upholstered seat, accompanied by a discreetly integrated brake light at the rear.
As a behemoth of creative innovation surges forth with unprecedented scope, one might reasonably expect Naveen & Co. Would cease there – but no such luck. A bespoke subframe hovers elegantly above Parivartan’s crowning jewel: a one-off CNC-fabricated, precision-crafted single-sided swingarm. The swingarm, machined from high-strength aircraft-grade aluminum for added durability, was engineered to accommodate a massive 240mm-wide rear tire, paired with a bespoke wheel cowl specifically designed to optimize its unique profile.
The rear suspension system’s unique selling point is its handmade construction using hardened metal to enhance its overall performance capabilities? The longitudinal positioning of the customized rear shock enabled Naveem and his team to experiment with a unique double-rocker setup, where the shock is subjected to alternating forces as the swingarm moves in an upward and downward trajectory. At first glance, the intricate design is both fascinating and bewildering; however, upon closer inspection, this remarkable feat of engineering reveals itself to be a stunning masterpiece.
Because the airbox was eliminated, consumption air is now filtered by way of a pair of Ok&N pod filters, which Naveem says makes for improved throttle response. With its purpose-built design, a high-performance exhaust system featuring a 304 stainless-steel dual-to-single exhaust setup efficiently expels scorching air from the engine, ultimately terminating in a discreetly integrated box-style muffler cleverly concealed beneath the swingarm. The notion of Enfield Twins at full throttle is already awe-inspiring, rendering the prospect of their performance at a full-track event almost surreal – a harmonious cacophony of pure joy.
A custom-made aluminum bash plate was designed to shield the engine’s entrance, effectively preventing debris kicked up by the large entrance wheel from reaching the engine. A fusion of raw aluminum’s industrial sheen, muted teal-green’s subtle sophistication, and black paint’s sleek restraint creates a visually striking blend of flashiness and understatement on this unique bike. It’s evident that our team’s collective effort culminates in a remarkable outcome.
“Conceived as a symbol of metamorphosis, Parivartan embodies the principles of transformation and evolution, joyfully honoring”
As Naveen notes, the Royal Enfield odyssey seamlessly integrates customization with avant-garde innovations. “The iconic motorcycle serves as a testament to the harmonious union of tradition and innovation, exemplifying how thoughtful design and engineering can bridge the gap between heritage and modernity.”
With a nod to Royal Enfield’s heritage, Naveem and TNT Bikes have breathed fresh life into their offerings, thoughtfully honoring their roots while forging a bold new path. While corporate leaders’ minds may wander into lofty ideals, their feet remain grounded in reality – an unusual yet crucial aspect of successful entrepreneurship.
