The trusty 2014 Triumph Bonneville T100 served as the foundation for Marc’s ambitious project. With inspiration drawn from the sleek, high-performance machines of 1960s and ’70s racing culture, he envisioned a futuristic yet authentic take on the classic Triumph design, honoring its British heritage while pioneering innovative aerodynamics.
Before the project commenced, Marc invested considerable time in researching and meticulously planning every aspect of the endeavour. After carefully weighing his options, the individual ultimately opted for high-quality GRP fiberglass replica bodywork supplied by renowned manufacturer Motoforza, based in the Czech Republic. Elevating its performance capabilities, the fairing is carefully mounted on bespoke hardware, transforming the Bonneville’s unassuming roadster appearance into that of a genuine racing machine.
The bike features a bespoke wasp-inspired tail section on its rear cowl, meticulously crafted to complement the overall design, while the diamond-stitched seat, custom-designed by Larson, adds an extra layer of sophistication. What a significant advantage lay in the fact that Bonnie’s body remained unaltered throughout the setup. All accomplishments might potentially be undone, with no impact on existing registration protocols. Marc has also taken the added step of retaining each fender to ensure his Bonneville remains practical in any climate.
As Marc’s bike transformed into a high-performance machine, he required a corresponding upgrade in his skills and mindset to truly harness its capabilities. To achieve this impressive upgrade, he has substituted the original rear shocks with high-performance inventory items and replaced the fork internal components with superior Ohlins parts. Despite maintaining the engine’s original inventory components, Marc collaborated on minor modifications and an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) tune to enhance its performance and overall efficiency.
Marc has further enhanced his Triumph cafe racer by outfitting it with an array of high-end, bespoke components. For the lighting, he opted for Motogadget’s innovative flip signals and a state-of-the-art LED headlamp upgrade. The Motogadget-equipped glassless bar finish mirrors were cleverly secured to a pair of Woodcraft’s ergonomic clip-on handlebars. With the installation of Puig rear set pegs and a matching pair of Biltwell grips, the revamped bike now boasts a sleek and modern aesthetic.
With its newly minted Royal Blue hue courtesy of a custom PPG paint job, the Bonneville’s design is now uniquely tailored to Marc’s personal preference. Finally, Marc embellished the vehicle’s bodywork and mechanical components with a judicious sprinkling of gold accents, elevating its overall appeal to a new level.
The Marc’s Bonneville cafe racer seamlessly blends timeless style with cutting-edge performance. The designer’s passion for crafting something unique shines through in every curved line and component, yielding a motorcycle that honors its heritage while propelling riders into the future.
