On November 9, Huawei announced the arrival of HIMA’s Luxeed S7 exhibition cars at over 300 stores across 83 Chinese cities, marking a significant milestone for the brand. Pre-sales are expected to launch on November 10, aligning with our gross sales team at HIMA. The all-new vehicle boasts an extensive palette of exterior colours, paired with 19/20-inch colour-matching alloy wheels; it also features Huawei’s DriveONE 800V high-voltage silicon carbide power platform, as well as the ADS 3.0 primary or advanced intelligent driving systems.
The present value range for the Luxeed S7, as listed in its specifications, is priced between 249,800 and 349,800 Chinese yuan, equivalent to approximately $34,800 to $48,700 USD during the sale. By the end of October, Luxeed had sold out its initial supply of 2,522 S7 units. Thus far, the gross sales performance has been underwhelming. In December of last year, just 784 models were sold, while in January and February of this year, only 604 and 794 models were sold, respectively.
The all-new Luxeed S7 debuts with a palette of four exterior colors: Pink, Purple, Blue, and Light Blue. In contrast, current fashion trends offer a palette of five colors: white, silver, black, beige, and blue. The dimensions of the Luxeed S7 currently available in the market are as follows: length, width, and height measure 4971/1963/1474 millimeters (mm) or an alternative specification of 1472/1466/1460 mm, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The sizes are expected to remain unaffected.
The exterior of the brand-new Luxeed S7 maintains continuity with its predecessor’s design, boasting a closed grille face, sleek LED headlights, discreet door handles, and integrated-through taillights that create a cohesive aesthetic. Certain fashion models featured in official images are equipped with roof-mounted lidar technology.
Within the cockpit, a sleek three-spoke steering wheel takes center stage, surrounded by an intuitive instrument panel featuring a prominent central management display. The layered mid-console offers practical amenities such as Wi-Fi charging stations for mobile devices, generous cup holders, and additional storage compartments within its lower section. The working system is powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.
The upcoming Luxeed S7 is expected to continue leveraging Huawei’s innovative DriveONE 800V silicon carbide high-voltage energy platform, a cutting-edge technology that promises enhanced performance and efficiency. The combined output power of the front-wheel drive AC asynchronous motor and rear-wheel drive permanent magnet synchronous motor in the all-wheel-drive trim amounts to 365 kilowatts, or approximately 489 horsepower. The 0–100 km/h acceleration takes approximately 3.3 seconds. The only-motor trim boasts a maximum output of 215 kW (288 horsepower) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, while its impressive range is up to 855 km on a single charge with its 100 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. While details on the powertrain specifications have not yet been officially announced, further information is expected in forthcoming official communications.
