The highly anticipated BMW i5, the German automaker’s first fully electric 5 Series sedan, is poised to make its global premiere in the near future. A sneak peek at the BMW i5 has surfaced, revealing an electrifying design that’s generating buzz even before its official debut.

The all-new BMW i5 takes center stage with latest visuals revealed.

After a prolonged tease of more than six years, we finally get our first look at BMW’s inaugural all-electric 5 Series.

At the annual BMW convention in March, the company unveiled its brand-new electric sedan, with CEO Oliver Zipse emphasizing that it will provide a “really distinctive marketing angle.”

BMW announces that the i5 will occupy a traditional position within its brand portfolio, positioned between the i4 and the flagship i7, which debuted last year. The cutting-edge mannequin boasts an unprecedented blend of dynamism and comfort, featuring BMW’s advanced Operating System 8.5, a curved display also found in the iX electric SUV, and cutting-edge digital services.

The premium automaker revealed cryptic images of its latest model last month, showing a camouflage-clad prototype undergoing rigorous testing at BMW’s proving grounds in southern France, hinting that it was nearing the final stages of development.

A newly leaked image of the BMW i5 surfaced on social media platforms on Thursday, offering a first-ever glimpse at the electric vehicle’s exterior design and styling. The image posted by @liucuny_starandcar on Instagram showcases the brand-new i5 in all its glory.

The all-new #BMW #i5 spotted on the streets! A sleek and sophisticated design that’s sure to turn heads. What do you think of this futuristic ride?

The all-new electric sedan boasts a sleeker front end compared to the conventional bulky BMW design we’re accustomed to, its hood appearing only marginally extended. Taking note, that is solely from this perspective.

The iconic kidney grille of the automaker stands out, its imposing size commanding attention. While the i5’s sleek appearance is more aerodynamic and slim compared to its larger i7 counterpart, it still retains the same overall design.

For the past 12 months, BMW has rigorously tested the i5 under a range of extreme conditions, including treacherous Swedish landscapes blanketed with snow and ice, scorching heat, urban and rural roads, and specialized test tracks, all in preparation for its highly anticipated launch.

BMW plans to enhance the electric sedan’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) by integrating high-resolution cameras, radar sensors, and sophisticated software updates. The highly anticipated Intel Core i5 processor is set to make its official debut this month, with production slated to begin this summer and shipments expected to arrive in October.
