Nio’s abroad gross sales disappoint

With its impressive sales figures, NIO has solidified itself as one of the top-selling new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers in China. In October 2024, the company listed 20,049 domestic products, with a total of approximately 170,000 vehicles sold from January to October.

NIO marks a milestone as it delivers its 600,000th vehicle in China, reaching this significant number on October 11.

Despite a promising start, Nio’s international revenue has been disappointing in terms of volume. In September, Nio delivered 22 vehicles to customers in Germany, thereby reaching a cumulative total of 323 units sold as of 2024. Nio, a Scandinavian e-commerce company, showcased an impressive selection of 184 products on its platform in October, highlighting its commitment to customer choice and satisfaction in the Norwegian market. By the end of 2024, the company had achieved a significant milestone with its cumulative gross sales quantity reaching an impressive 780 automobiles. While rates are higher than those in Germany, they still fall short of being considered excessive.

Nio ventured into the Middle East on October 23, launching a dedicated regional arm, Nio MENA, to cater to the Center East and North Africa market. The Middle East and North Africa’s (MENA) first Nio Home is set to debut in Abu Dhabi by the end of this year.
