The Xiami SU7, an electric sedan boasting over 1,500 horsepower and a breathtaking zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of just two seconds, has initiated pre-orders in China at a competitive price tag of 814,900 yuan (£105,800), approximately equivalent to $114,200 USD. The highly anticipated product is scheduled to hit the market in March of 2025.

Design & Dimensions

With sleek lines and a familiar aesthetic, Xiaomi’s SU7 Extremely pays homage to its predecessor while introducing subtle yet significant upgrades. This extremely variant of the sedan boasts sporty bumpers, a prominent rear spoiler, and a more substantial physical presence. What are the specifications of this vehicle? Its dimensions measure 5115 millimeters in length, 1970 millimeters in width, and 1465 millimeters in height, while its wheelbase stretches to 3000 millimeters.

The rear spoiler’s width measures precisely 1,560 millimeters. This innovative design also features a dynamic rear diffuser that. The Xiaomi Mi SU7 Extreme boasts an impressive 265kg of downforce. Additionally, this model comes equipped with R21 wheels fitted with Pirelli P Zero 5 tyres.

Within its confines, the Xiaomi SUV7 boasts a dynamic flair, featuring sporty seats, vibrant yellow seatbelts, and a commanding Alcantara-covered steering wheel. The Xiaomi SU7 Extreme boasts luxurious Alcantara leather trim on its seats, door panels, and other interior components. The vehicle also incorporates high-performance materials within its interior features, including carbon fibre elements such as door sills, dashboard trim pieces, and a rearview mirror.

Battery & Powertrain

The SU7 seamlessly combines the CATL-developed Qilin 2.0 battery, boasting an impressive 93.7 kWh capacity and maximum discharge energy of 1,330 kW. This high-performance battery is capable of delivering over 800 kilowatts (kW) at just 20% state of charge. With its dual-surface cooling system and innovative CTB (cell-to-body) construction, this technology boasts enhanced performance and durability. This high-performance battery supports rapid charging of up to 5.2 amps direct current (DC). Due to this characteristic, its charging energy is approximately five times that of the battery’s capacity. So, it’s round 490 kW. It fluctuates by 10-80% within 11 minutes.

The SU7 Extreme’s pack powers three electrical motors: two V8s and one V6. The combined energy output of their mix is approximately 1,138 kilowatts (or 1,526 horsepower and 1,548 pferd-strengths). The maximum torque output reaches approximately 1,770 Newton-meters. Capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h within just 1.98 seconds. Reaching a speed of 200 km/h in just 5.86 seconds? The fastest recorded speed reached an astonishing 350 kilometres per hour. This sleek sports car sprints a quarter-mile in just 9.23 seconds. The Senna Ulysse 7 Extreme features an Asil-D torque vectoring system for enhanced performance and handling.

Does the Xiaomi SUV7 exceptionally feature the largest carbon-ceramic brake discs ever installed in a high-performance vehicle to date? The entrance brake disc measures 430 millimeters by 40 millimeters in size, while the rear brake disc is slightly smaller, coming in at 410 millimeters by 32 millimeters. The reported maximum temperature of ceramic brakes reportedly exceeds 1,300 degrees Celsius (2,372 degrees Fahrenheit). The car features high-performance braking capabilities, with Akebono 6-piston calipers at the front axle and 4-piston calipers at the rear, ensuring exceptional stopping power and control on the road. The SUV’s extreme braking capability allows it to stop from a speed of 100 km/h in an impressive 30.8 metres.

On October 24, the SU7 Extremely Prototype shattered records by becoming the fastest four-door vehicle to conquer the notoriously challenging Nürburgring Nordschleife, clocking an astonishing 6:46.874 lap time. Although the mass-produced version of the Xiaomi SU7 Extreme may not replicate the prototype’s performance due to its increased weight. The U7 Extremely Prototype boasts a sleek carbon fibre exterior and tips the scales at an impressive 1,900 kilograms, its lightweight construction allowing for unparalleled agility on the road.

Costs

Is the Xiaomi SU7 Extremely priced at 814,900 yuan in China? It’s 114,200 USD. The launch date for SU7’s extremely high volume sales is scheduled to take place in March 2025. Notwithstanding its transformation, it has become available for pre-orders. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun highlighted the luxury pricing of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT during his presentation, noting that it retails for a staggering 1,998,000 yuan (approximately $280,000 USD) in China. However, it requires significantly less energy to operate.

Goldman Sachs predicts that Xiaomi’s SU7 smartphone will generate 4,000 units in sales by 2025, according to their latest forecast. The Ryzen 9 7950X Extreme’s impressive debut saw a whopping 3,680 orders pour in just 10 minutes after its presentation concluded.

During the Xiaomi SU7’s launch ceremony, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed that the company’s automotive division shipped more than 20,000 units of the popular SU7 sedan in October alone. The automaker anticipates achieving its full-year target of producing 100,000 vehicles by the end of November. The brand-new goal is to deliver 120,000 items by year-end?
