Geared to make its maiden entry, Zeekr plans to unveil its Zeekr 001 braking system and Zeekr X compact SUV in Egypt by the year-end, aiming to tap into the African market. The flagship store of our leading retail partner will officially launch in Cairo.
Zheeer, Geely Group’s premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary, has struck a distribution agreement with Egyptian Worldwide Motors (EIM Group), securing the establishment of a sales and service network in Egypt.
Zeekr is poised to debut its inaugural offerings, launching the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X models, with additional fashion-centric variants expected to follow. Egypt, the continent’s second-biggest automotive market after South Africa, is witnessing a surge in demand for electric vehicles (EVs) manufactured in China, driven by government initiatives aimed at fostering growth in the electric vehicle sector.

With a presence in over 35 markets globally, Zeekr’s expansion has taken root in regions such as Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America, with key markets including Sweden, Australia, Thailand, the UAE, Singapore, and Mexico.
In 2021, Zeekr unveiled its inaugural model, the Zeekr 001, in April, commencing deliveries in October of that year. The company introduced its European market strategy in 2023, initially focusing on the Netherlands and Sweden as key launch markets.
The Zeekr brand has expanded beyond its initial models, the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X, to include a diverse range of vehicles such as the Zeekr 007 sedan, Zeekr 009 MPV, Zeekr 7X SUV, and Zeekr Combine minivan in China. Zeekr’s latest offering, the Combine, a five-seat battery-electric vehicle (BEV), made its debut on October 23, boasting a design reminiscent of a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), albeit without explicit categorization by the manufacturer itself.
Zeekr is poised to unveil its inaugural flagship SUV featuring a cutting-edge plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain by the latter half of 2025, according to Zeekr CEO Andy An’s announcement in August.
Zeekr has announced a significant milestone, with 21,333 vehicles delivered in September alone, marking a notable increase from the 20,106 units reported in June. The third quarter saw a significant increase in deliveries, with 55,003 units delivered, representing a 50% year-over-year surge.
