On October 24th, BYD officially inaugurated its cutting-edge “Di Area” New Power Science Museum in Zhengzhou, China, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. The BYD Museum, a pioneering initiative in China, seamlessly blends automotive heritage, design, and expertise under one roof, proudly establishing itself as the nation’s first museum dedicated to new energy vehicles (NEVs).

Byd’s strategic move aims to fortify offline model interaction and establish collaborations with local populations through this transfer. The museum aims to provide visitors with a comprehensive learning experience, allowing them to explore the realm of modern electric vehicles.

Di Area exhibitions

The Di Area is strategically located within Zhengzhou’s central business district, occupying approximately 15,000 square feet. The building stands at a height of approximately meters and comprises four storeys of flooring. The exhibition is divided into four primary areas: “Model Tradition,” showcasing timeless designs; “Craftsmanship and Innovative Production Methods,” highlighting exceptional manufacturing techniques; “Advancing Specialization,” featuring cutting-edge expertise; and “Technology Discovery,” delving into the latest innovations. With more than 300 interactive displays, the museum aims to become a premier destination where visitors can learn about the intricacies of NEV houses in an engaging and immersive way.

While traditional Chinese flooring has undergone significant transformations, the primary focus lies in tracing the evolution of China’s NEV industry? The second floor covers the process of how automobiles are constructed and the engineering principles that govern the auto manufacturing process. The third floor showcases BYD’s innovative technologies, including the Blade Battery and fifth-generation DM-i expertise. The fourth floor and prime floors of this innovative house offer an immersive experience, allowing students to engage in hands-on activities that foster learning and creativity.

With its swiftly secured exhibition spaces, the Di Area boasts an impressive 8,500 square feet. Meters situated exteriorly to the plaza occupy a total area of 360 square units. meter in-door occasion house. These spaces will host BYD’s product launches, non-permanent exhibitions, and other offline events.

By the Di Area, BYD aims to widely educate and promote its New Energy Vehicle (NEV) business to a vast audience. As China’s demand for electric vehicles surges, automakers are stepping up off-line interactions with consumers to market not just their products, but also the benefits that come with owning an eco-friendly ride.

Battery manufacturing giant, Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), has made a significant move by inaugurating the CATL New Power Plaza in Chengdu, where it showcases over 100 models of vehicles powered by its proprietary batteries. Visitors to CATL’s occasion house are afforded the unique opportunity to gain insight into the company’s battery expertise, while also having access to a vast array of electric vehicle (NEV) manufacturers under one roof?

BYD inaugurated its inaugural manufacturing facility in Zhengzhou in 2023. There, they produce fashion models like the BYD Seal, BYD Shark, and FENGCHENBAO 5. With the opening of its Di Area facility, BYD cements its commitment to Zhengzhou, solidifying the city’s status as a hub for the company’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) production and distribution initiatives.
