On October 13, Dongfeng Voyah’s Braveness, widely known as Zhiyin in China, officially launched its all-electric SUV to the market, offering a choice of four trim levels with a price range spanning from 179,900 to 236,900 yuan, or approximately $25,500 to $33,500 USD. The feature of extended battery life is limited to just 3,000 units at a premium price point of ¥179,900 ($25,500), which comes with a substantial cost tag.

The Voyah Braveness boasts a robust construction built around the ESSA (Electrical Safe Structure) native intelligent electric architecture, boasting dimensions of 4,725mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,636mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2,900mm.

Noteworthy design features include discreet door handles, seamless door frames, and a unique taillight configuration comprising 132 subtly distinct LEDs, making it instantly identifiable.

The Voyah Braveness boasts two distinct front-end configurations for customers to choose from, featuring an innovative design that incorporates 215 LEDs and a radiant logo.

Seven exterior color options are available.

The Voyah Braveness’s Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) driving assistance system relies on a sophisticated combination of five millimeter-wave radars, ten high-definition cameras, and various advanced sensors to enable seamless navigation. A lidar shouldn’t be current. Here is the improved/revised text:

The Stage 2.9 boasts clever driving capabilities that seamlessly navigate ramps for both entry and exit, as well as execute autonomous parking at a distance, all with the intuitive Summon feature.

The interior features a 15.05-inch, 2.5K OLED display that can slide horizontally, backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, accompanied by a 6-inch instrument panel, a 29-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD), and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

The compact workstation above the glove compartment subtly slides open along its longitudinal axis for convenient access. The central console facilitates wireless Wi-Fi charging for 50W-enabled cell phones and features two conveniently designed cup holders.

The standard 527L trunk storage compartment, as specified by Voyah, can stow five 20-inch suitcases. The cargo capacity may be increased to a maximum of 1,328 litres when the rear seats are folded flat. There may be an additional 72-liter second-layer cupboard space. There may also exist an additional 0.63 meter.2 Panoramic sunroof, a sophisticated ambient lighting system boasting 128 colors, is complemented by an exceptional 18-speaker audio setup. The interior also features a range of premium amenities, including a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and an 8-way power-adjustable co-pilot seat for unparalleled comfort.

The Voyah Braveness offers a range of configurations, including single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) options, with the added flexibility of choosing between 400-volt and 800-volt charging systems? The electric vehicle features a powertrain powered by a battery supplied by Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL).

400 V

  • The RWD model boasts a maximum output of 215 kW (288 horsepower) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. It is powered by a 77-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate battery pack, which enables a range of up to 625 kilometers.

  • The AWD’s maximum energy output is 320 kW (429 horsepower), with 160 kW (215 horsepower) allocated to each of its entrance and rear electric motors. Its 0–100 km/h acceleration time is a swift 4.9 seconds, while the prime pace reaches 204 km/h. The powertrain features a 77 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, supporting a range of approximately 570 km.

800 V

  • The RWD model boasts an impressive maximum output of 230 kW (308 horsepower) and achieves a rapid 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.8 seconds, backed by two available lithium-ion battery packs – the 79 kWh option delivering a range equivalent to approximately 650 km, or the larger 109 kWh pack capable of achieving a range equivalent to around 901 km.

With advanced 5C quick charging capabilities, this device charges rapidly, allowing for an impressive 80% recharge in just 10 minutes, while a mere quarter-hour of charging boosts battery life by a significant 515 kilometers.

Between January and September, Voyah saw a significant surge in deliveries, with 52,548 autos hitting the road – an impressive 91% year-over-year increase.
