Chinese tech giant Huawei and automaker JAC aim to launch their jointly developed Maextro sedan in a batch of 35,000 units, priced around ¥1 million (approximately $140,000 USD) each. Quantitative production of the new product will commence later this year. The official market launch is anticipated to occur during the first half of 2025. This opulent sedan has recently been spotted in China once again.
Huawei and JAC have jointly developed the Maextro, a pioneering new model, specifically designed for Huawei’s Concord Clever Mobility Alliance (HIMA) automotive sales network. Swiftly, the Maestro model will arrive alongside its first prototype, an opulent sedan.
Extra about Maextro sedan
Prior to the announcement, speculation had been rife that JAC and Huawei’s joint venture would yield a luxury-oriented minivan as its flagship product. Their inaugural offering appeared to be a luxurious sedan designed for affluent professionals. By mid-2024, Huawei’s automotive arm chief Richard Yu revealed that their inaugural Maextro model would outstrip even the prestigeous Maybach and Rolls-Royce in terms of scope.
Recently, sightings of the Mextro sedan have been reported during routine street inspections in China. The vertical alignment of components within the entrance bumper is a notable feature observable in spy photographs of this vehicle. Despite this, its headlights harmonize with various HIMA styles in terms of design. The Maestro sedan features sleek, frameless side-view mirrors and streamlined doorways. It’s when people opt for unusual features like concealed door handles and oversized wheels that their vehicle truly stands out from the crowd.
While sharing some visual similarities with Chinese NEVs, the Maestro sedan’s overall profile appears distinct and contemporary, boasting clean lines, sweeping curves, and a purposeful stance that sets it apart from its peers. The new electric vehicle models share a common definition with several other brands like Nio ET7, BYD Han, Voyah Ardour, and others, boasting similar features and specifications. Air resistance is minimized to achieve this sleek exterior design. The Maestro’s rooftop features a cutting-edge LiDAR sensor. The sedan’s rear fascia was previously previewed in China.
