BMW previews Vision Neue Klasse X: Is this the electric SUV we’ve been waiting for?

BMW unveiled the Neue Klass and previewed its forthcoming electric SUV in a video broadcast, offering a first glimpse of the new model.

BMW unveiled a glimpse of its luxurious Neue Klasse’s future at IAA Mobility in Munich over the weekend.

The corporation claims its upcoming “new class” of electric vehicles, slated for release in 2025, promises a trifecta of enhancements: 30% increased range, 30% faster recharging, and a 25% overall efficiency boost.

BMW has officially unveiled its new electric sedan, the Imaginative and prescient New Klasse, a 3-series-inspired model boasting an avant-garde design.

The all-new electric sedan boasts a unique blend of BMW design elements, including bold wheel arches, a retractable glass roof, and a futuristic “shark-nose” front end, reimagined for the modern era.

The brand-new electric sedan boasts a sleek, almost monolithic body shape featuring subtle indentations at the front and rear, as well as expansive glass panels that provide an abundance of natural light. As the vehicle approaches, the iconic BMW kidney grille and dual headlights harmonize seamlessly to create a single, unified visual statement at the front entrance.

BMW’s Chief Executive Officer Oliver Zipse announced during a recent keynote address that the company intends to roll out six new Neue Klasse electric models within the next 24 months. With a wide range of options from SAV to sedan, every customer is sure to find their perfect fit.

BMW provides a sneak peek at its electric SUV during the Neue Klasse launch event, giving viewers their first glimpse at 26:50 into the video presentation.

Based on the evidence, it appears that BMW is using a uniform test vehicle across multiple inspection models. As the electric SUV edges closer to its anticipated 2025 launch, this could indicate that testing has begun in earnest.

The revised text: The BMW iX3’s design subtly evolves for this variant, featuring a slightly more compact front end and an extended rear section. It may appear to blend in seamlessly with its surroundings, rendering it all but invisible. Compared to the iX3, an additional 30% range increase would translate to a staggering over 470 miles (758 km), not just over 370 miles.

Could a flagship M model possibly be on the horizon? Prior to unveiling its latest electric SUV, BMW touted “the next M engine” and “the heart of BMW driving pleasure” as the vehicle took off onto a track.

BMW’s Neue Klasse is poised to debut with its sixth-generation eDrive motors and advanced spherical battery cells, enhancing overall range, efficiency, and performance.

For its debut, the innovative vehicles will now feature BMW’s Panoramic Vision, a cutting-edge head-up display projected onto the lower third of the windshield.

BMW is set to launch its brand-new electric SUV, which mirrors the manufacturing model of the Visionary Neue Klasse electric sedan unveiled at IAA, with production scheduled to commence in 2025.
