The Denza Z9 GT is a highly anticipated wagon designed by BYD specifically for global markets. The company obtained a gross sales license in China in April this year. In August, the company started taking pre-orders for its product in China, priced between 339,800 and 419,800 yuan, equivalent to approximately 48,150 to 59,500 US dollars. On September 20, the Denza Z9 GT officially launched its sales campaign with a remarkably slim pricing range.

While the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variant indeed exhibits a slightly higher air consumption compared to its non-plug-in counterpart.

When considering exterior aesthetics, the Z9 GT closely parallels the Porsche Panamera’s design philosophy. Furthermore, its physical dimensions align closely with those of a Porsche hatchback. The Tesla Model S-like electric Z9 GT measures a substantial 5,180mm in length, 1,990mm in width, and 1,480mm in height. It features R21 wheels, equipped with 255/40R19 front and 275/40R19 rear tyres. The middle tunnel features a retractable crystal gear shifter and comes equipped with two Wi-Fi charging pads for added convenience. The passenger seat features a zero-gravity mode for ultimate comfort, as well as an electrically powered leg rest that provides added support.

Despite being a compact electric vehicle, the Denza Z9 GT boasts an unexpected feature: two refrigerators onboard. The entry-level model boasts a 4-liter capacity. The rear fridge compartment boasts a generous 10-liter capacity. The Z9 GT cabin offers various options, including a high-end Devialet sound system that elevates in-car entertainment to new heights, as well as electrically adjustable second-row seats for enhanced comfort and practicality. The Denza Z9 GT EV is built upon the robust e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture. Equipped with three electric motors that collectively deliver a substantial 710 kilowatts (952 horsepower). The electrical variant has emerged only recently. Capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.4 seconds. The Denza Z9 GT PHEV is available in three distinct trim levels: Professional, Max, and Ultra. The Professional trim does not boast air suspension, nor is it equipped with a heads-up display (HUD), leg rest or therapeutic massage features for second-row occupants, nor a streaming rearview mirror. The device also features a solitary internal digital camera. All available features are accessible through the Max trim level. The Extremely Trim package offers electrically powered doorways, Nappa leather-trimmed seats, and a 26-speaker audio system.

At the launch event, Denza unveiled the Limited First Edition (LFE) of its highly anticipated Z9 GT wagon. It’s restricted to 2010 models. This restricted batch comprises Denza Z9 GT PHEVs, available in two trim levels: Max and Ultra. The extremely advanced variant features a unique setup that replaces traditional rearview mirrors with side-view cameras, accompanied by 16 high-resolution surround-view cameras for unparalleled visibility.
