The primary goal of my experience with the Moto Guzzi was to optimize performance by reducing unnecessary weight and upgrading the frame for enhanced power output. By lowering the body at the rear of the engine, I was able to reconfigure the body using a custom mold. The final outcome featured a leaner, more streamlined physique, achieved by employing lighter materials to reduce overall weight significantly. To accommodate a pair of adjustable Ohlins fuel shocks, I also reworked the rear suspension mounts. I opted to leave a portion of my body exposed to convey an air of lightheartedness.

CNC-fabricated aluminum components have been implemented to enhance and fortify the body without increasing its weight. The gussets, motor mount, and numerous other components are precision-machined from high-grade 7075 aluminum. At the outset, the 45mm Paioli racing forks craft a rock-solid foundation, allowing me to tame this monster by outfitting it with a 320mm Brembo brake system featuring a dual-piston caliper? To enhance the bike’s handling capabilities, I installed 17-inch wheels on both the front and rear ends. I designed and built a custom, widened, and reinforced swingarm to accommodate a massive 160mm rear tire. The wheels feature proprietary tubeless aluminum rims specifically designed for this unique bicycle model.

While designing the bodywork, I aimed to strike a balance between trendy and nostalgic elements, creating an aesthetic that was both modern and reminiscent of the past. The primary intention behind the entrance finish was to create a distinctively unique fairing, striking a balance between a comprehensive fairing and a windshield. I’ve decided to design a highly compact module that integrates seamlessly into the tank’s structure, ensuring maximum security and minimizing space consumption. The ultimate building was constructed entirely by my hands without the benefit of a single sketch or blueprint to guide me. This exercise permitted me to unleash my creative potential and discern a genuinely unique insight. Improved text: That’s my regular manner of working. The tail was designed with meticulous attention to detail, mirroring its construction in every way; at its terminus, a cleverly crafted inverted V shape enhances visibility of the rear wheel to the greatest extent possible.

Here is the rewritten text:

The custom-designed aluminum components for this bike feature a range of innovative features, including adjustable rear-set foot pegs, a triple tree specifically designed to accommodate the new forks, reinforcements for the rear shocks, as well as entrance and rear aluminum fenders, and support brackets for the Brembo brakes. Here is the rewritten text:

The finishing flourishes come together in the form of a custom-designed exhaust system from Mass Exhaust, complemented by Acewell’s advanced digital instrumentation and Pirelli Phantom tires.

Story by Filippo Barbacane

Vitalis, a Latin term, succinctly conveys the meanings “necessary” and “crucial”. Something that’s indispensable to you. For me, that motorbike represents freedom and adventure. For me, a motorbike transcends being just an inanimate object. It’s poised to tap into emotions, evoking genuine sensations of pleasure, pain, anxiety, and worry.

As I fuel my passion for motorcycle riding, I yearn to infuse that enthusiasm into a specific machine. It was designed from scratch for a discerning client who granted me complete creative freedom to bring their vision to life. I’ve selected the Moto Guzzi Le Mans III as the foundation, a motorcycle boasting a robust engine, an exceptional chassis, and renowned for its performance.
