Following cost-cutting measures, the Nissan Ariya is now available for lease at a remarkably low starting price of just $199 per month. Here: Discover native sellers with ease. Currently, the Nissan electric SUV is among the most cost-effective EV options to lease at this price point.

In 2010, Nissan marked a milestone by introducing the first mass-market electric vehicle (EV) to the US market with the LEAF. The Japanese automaker responded to growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles by introducing its second global electric vehicle and its first all-electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), the innovative Nissan Ariya.

The Aria, as assessed earlier, made its US debut last autumn and has already eclipsed the sales of Nissan’s compact LEAF EV in the market.

According to recent statistics, more than 4,500 Ariya electric sport utility vehicles were sold in the third quarter, marking a significant surge compared to around 1,500 units of the LEAF model. Recent price cuts are likely to help boost gross sales.

The Nissan Ariya’s lease prices are starting at just $199 per month, according to an online automotive analysis firm. In New York, the Ariya’s rent-to-own option costs $199 per month for 18 months, requiring an initial payment of $4,379 upfront. The offers range by area.

These savings total over $10,000, comprising $9,280 in lease money and a further $1,000 in bonus incentives.

More significantly, for drivers who purchase $199 worth of fuel per month, the cost savings on gas expenses would likely outweigh the initial investment in the vehicle, rendering its sticker price essentially insignificant.

Nissan’s potential cost reduction might stem from changes to its handling of the EV tax credit. The corporation has exploited a loophole to pass credit scores to lessees.

While the 2024 Nissan LEAF S has a significantly lower starting price of around $16,000 less than the Ariya, the leasing premium is surprisingly modest, with only an additional $79 per month. Can you afford this luxury for $8,544 over three years?
