Nissan announced on Wednesday that its Ariya model has earned the prestigious Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 2023 Top Safety Pick+ designation, further solidifying its reputation for safety and reliability in the electric crossover market. The award is given without regard to the strengthened standards achieved over the past 12 months.
To achieve their designated purpose, vehicles must adhere to rigorous standards. Automobiles must earn a “Good” rating in driver and passenger-side small overlap tests, as well as moderate overlap front and updated side-impact collision evaluations.
Additionally, the automobile’s headlights must meet a uniform standard of excellence, earning either a “Good” or “Acceptable” rating across all trim levels. The system must also achieve a Superior rating in both daytime and nighttime testing for pedestrian entrance crash prevention techniques, earning the highest score in these critical evaluations.

The 2023 Ariya arrives standard with Nissan’s advanced safety feature, ProPilot Assist 360. The technology features six advanced security options, including blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and more.
