Aito launched its five-seater M9 model on September 10.
The Xpeng G9 offers three variants of its five-seat configuration, each featuring either a battery-electric vehicle (EREV) or battery electric vehicle (BEV), priced between ¥469,800 and ¥569,800 (approximately $66,000 to $80,050 USD). The variations are as follows:
Max EREV | 469,800 yuan (66,000 USD) |
Extremely EREV | 529,800 yuan (74,450 USD) |
Extremely EV | 569,800 (80,050 USD) |
The highlights of the brand-new automobile include Huawei’s cutting-edge Qiankun ADS 3.0 system, seamlessly integrated with the advanced Concord OS 4-powered intelligent cockpit. Two innovative interior colors have been introduced for automobiles, accompanied by a vibrant “Phoenix Dance 9 Days” welcome animation that elevates the driving experience.
The five-passenger Aito M9 mirrors the distinctive appearance of its six-passenger counterpart externally. The vehicle features a sophisticated lighting system, comprising adaptive matrix headlights, cleverly designed projection headlights, adjustable low beams, and ambient place lights, all working together to provide optimal illumination on the road. The innovative design features Huawei X Pixel Sensory projection headlights, which boast a clever welcome animation akin to the mesmerizing “Phoenix Dance 9 Days,” accompanied by Voice Personalized Driving (VPD) parking alerts in soothing tones and cutting-edge ultra-near-field projection capabilities. The exterior dimensions of this vehicle remain consistent, measuring 5230mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1800mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3110mm.
The primary differences lie in what occurs when the vehicle’s third-row seating is retracted. Patrons can choose from five interior colour options, including two new additions: Amber Brown and Truffle Brown, which join the existing palette of Moon Shadow Grey, Pink Tea Orange, and Wangshu Apricot, with the latter being optional. The automobile features supple Nappa leather upholstery and sumptuous suede headlining, complemented by a crystal-accented gear lever knob.
Like its 6-seat automotive counterpart, this system boasts a triple-screen setup, comprising a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch central infotainment display, and a 16-inch passenger entertainment screen. Through Concord OS’s innovative interface, users can seamlessly connect up to five screens, enabling effortless switching of multimedia content across multiple displays within a vehicle, ultimately enhancing the driving experience. This innovative vehicle also features a spacious 8-litre storage compartment that is both heated and cooled for added convenience.
The car features Shuyun seats, with second-row seats capable of reclining up to 43 degrees and adjustable leg rests that move 75 degrees. A fold-down armrest measuring 255mm seamlessly transforms the vehicle from a five-seat to a four-seat configuration. The seats at the entrance may fold down, thereby creating more space within the vehicle.
This trunk flooring house measures 1167 millimeters by 1237 millimeters, providing ample storage space of approximately 637 liters. The trunk’s flooring features adjustable rails allowing for multiple use configurations, accompanied by a pair of chairs and a divider desk. Choices for different scenarios include loading trays and versatile storage containers. With the second-row seats folded flat, cargo capacity expands to a generous 1,105 liters.
The powertrain remains identical to its six-seat counterpart. The EREV powertrain features a 1.5-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine, capable of delivering a maximum output of 112 kilowatts, while energy is transmitted to the wheels via an electric motor with a peak output of 165 kilowatts situated at the front axle and a second motor producing 200 kilowatts at the rear. In the all-electric configuration, the vehicle leverages a 160 kilowatt motor at the front axle and a 230 kilowatt motor at the rear.
The battery capability of the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) stands at a significant 42 kilowatt-hours, while its all-electric counterpart boasts an impressive capacity of 100 kilowatt-hours. The capabilities mirror those found in the six-seat version, suggesting that the EREV model boasts an all-electric range of 175 km, while the BEV can achieve up to 630 km.
The car features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 technology integrated within its design. While the system primarily ensures safety with advanced braking capabilities, it also enables the car to possess exceptional driving qualities.
The Aito brand was jointly established by Huawei and Seres.
