At the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, Chery debuted its latest offering under the Fulwin umbrella, introducing the Fulwin E05. The brand-new electric vehicle is expected to retail for approximately 150,000 yuan ($21,100), with both EV and EVER variants slated for release.
As you step inside, the unmistakable design cues emerge: the shut grille harmonizes seamlessly with the sleek, angular headlights flanking it, while the textured ridges on the bonnet leave an indelible impression. A roof-mounted LiDAR system can also be a current option. The Chery Fulwin E05 is expected to feature advanced driving assistance technologies similar to automatic parking and high-speed route guidance.
The car’s body, from its front to rear, takes on a sleek and sporty fastback silhouette. Notable design elements include sleek, frameless doorways, discreetly integrated door handles, and striking rim designs that command attention.
The car showcased at the Chengdu Auto Show featured 245/45 R20 Pirelli tyres. According to reports, the wheelbase of the Chery Fulwin E05 is expected to measure 2,900mm, with an overall length of approximately 4,800mm.
The taillights adopt a sleek through-type design, featuring the “FULWIN” branding discreetly positioned amidst the daylight-emitting clusters. Simultaneously, the panoramic sunroof seamlessly integrates with the front and rear window frames.
Within the cockpit, a minimalist aesthetic prevails, with ample room enveloped by an array of essential components. A sleek instrument panel lies behind the flat-bottomed steering wheel, while a suspended central management display screen floats above, cleverly concealed are the air-conditioning vents. The ambient lighting’s subtle yet striking effects on the dashboard, center console, door trim accents, and plush carpet create a captivating visual experience.
The interior is expected to feature a built-in refrigerator and an “Artificial Intelligence emotional well-being cabin” with four distinct modes, mirroring the functionality of sleep mode or entertainment mode, for instance.
As the specific energy and internal specifications remain undefined, we will closely monitor any further developments.
Last year, Chery reinvigorated the Fulwin lineup, quickly introducing four new models – the Fulwin A8, T6, T9, and T10 – with ambitions to roll out a total of 11 variants within two years. The Fulwin T11 is expected to debut at this year’s Chengdu Auto Show.
