At the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, Avatr made a splash with the unveiling of its latest model, the Avatr 07, which has officially opened up for pre-ordering. The Avarat 07, a midsize SUV, is forecasted to retail for approximately $43,750 to $56,550 USD, targeting an aggressive segment in China’s automotive market. The highly anticipated automobile is scheduled to make its official debut in September 2024.

The Aviator 07 offers a trio of options, all featuring entirely electric or electric-range-extended powertrains.

The fully electrical model offers a choice between rear-wheel drive with a 252-kilowatt motor and all-wheel drive, featuring an 188-kilowatt motor at the front. The all-electric mannequin boasts an impressive CLTC range of 650 kilometres for its rear-wheel-drive variant, while the all-wheel-drive model achieves an equally impressive 610 kilometres. The battery-electric vehicle (BEV) features an 800-volt architecture. The all-wheel-drive variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.9 seconds.

The range-extended Avatr 07 variants feature a 1.5T powertrain, which combines a single-rear-mounted 231 kW electric motor or an optional dual-motor configuration, where the front motor adds an additional 131 kW of propulsion. This model features an all-electric range of up to 230 kilometres in its rear-wheel-drive configuration and 220 kilometres in its all-wheel-drive variant, backed by a 39.05 kilowatt-hour lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack.

The Avatr 07’s design is consistent with its household model, boasting a robust front fascia featuring prominent double-layered LED daytime running lights. What are the dimensions of an automobile? Its length measures 4.825 metres, its width is 1.98 metres, and its height reaches 1.62 metres; the distance between its axles, known as the wheelbase, stands at 2.94 metres. The rear design reverts to a more traditional SUV appearance, albeit featuring a reduced rear window size and sleek, narrow taillights that prioritize unobstructed visibility.

Within the Avator 07’s cabin, a cutting-edge cockpit awaits, featuring a pioneering four-monitor layout that combines a 35.4-inch 4K touchscreen with dual 6.7-inch digital rearview mirrors and a central Huawei smart control panel. The interior design boasts a luxurious atmosphere, featuring premium materials, including supple Nappa leather upholstery, sumptuous Alcantara headlining, and rich wooden accents adorning the centre console.

The automobile is also equipped with the innovative Taihang Clever Management Chassis, boasting a sophisticated design that incorporates dual-wishbone independent suspension, adaptive air springs with four distinct settings, and a high-performance CDC dynamic damping system capable of making up to 100 adjustments per second. The HiCar Avatr 07 boasts innovative features such as Huawei’s Qiankun Advanced Driver-Sensing System 3.0, high-precision LiDAR technology, enhanced parking assistance, refined city navigation, and an advanced collision avoidance system for unparalleled safety on the road.

Avatar, the automotive brand jointly established by Changan, Huawei, and CATL, is steadily expanding its model range. The Avarat 07 aims to dominate the competitive mid-sized SUV market by targeting the same demographic as the Model Y, BYD Song Plus, and the innovative Zeekr 7X.
