There exists someone I’m familiar with who possesses an expertise in evaluating beers. One of the greatest perks of his job is getting to sample and critique every beer on the list. This didn’t particularly faze me, as I typically don’t have the opportunity to personally test every bicycle I assess. Until now, that’s at the very least. I’m longing to ride this bike.
Aditya Deshmukh founded Imply Inexperienced Customs, a pioneering venture, in 2014, with its roots firmly planted in Mumbai, India. With a strong track record over the past few years, the workshop has successfully produced a variety of delectable custom pieces, earning an impressive list of clients eager for future collaborations with its experienced team. Aditya was forced to delay his attention to his new passion project – a bespoke Harley-Davidson Road 750 – which required his undivided focus.
Aditya recalled Frank Savage, Harley-Davidson’s lead designer, stating, “The Road 750 is a blank slate, ready for personalization and customization.” With that out of the way, he was eager to welcome an ideal donor and follow Frank’s instructions accordingly. He initially considered completing a bobber-style build at Imply Green Customs workshop. Notwithstanding, he swiftly discovered that approach was overly simplistic in its application to the Harley-Davidson Road 750’s manufacturing facility aesthetic. In a bold move, a decision was taken to build a motorcycle that is rarely found on Indian roads – a café racer design.
Customized craftsmanship commenced by disassembling the inventory rear subframe, reconfiguring it to form a bespoke tailpiece featuring a distinctive U-shaped curvature, meticulously designed to accommodate a café-racer inspired wasp-tail saddle. He subsequently paired 17-inch laced rims with substantial Avon tyres, securing the bike’s stability from front to back. This setup facilitates the integration of a precision-crafted customized tank, entrance fairings, faceted covers, and entrance guards for optimal performance and aesthetic appeal. Mixed with modern touches, they offer this Harley-Davidson motorcycle a traditional yet powerful muscular hunchbacked silhouette reminiscent of classic café racers.
Harley-Davidson’s latest creation embodies the traditional muscular hunched look of a café racer, boasting sleek lines and an unmistakable roadster stance. As I gaze upon the bike, its poised “ready to pounce” posture awakens a deep longing within me to rev up the engine and take it for a spin.
As you approach the bike’s intimidating stance, you’ll start to notice the intricate details that make up its complex design. With a blend of tapered exhaust design, customised foot controls, CNC-trimmed triple timber, aluminum grips, and discreetly integrated yet practical lights. The paint finish is a metallic dark grey with a pearlescent coat and matte effect. The Bodyline pinstripes, subtly featuring the iconic Imply Inexperienced Machine logo, elegantly conclude their design.
According to our reliable information, the impressive performance of the Harley-Davidson Road 750 is attributed to its notable weight reduction, resulting in a truly exceptional riding experience. Aditya exclaims, “The bike’s lean angle has increased, braking performance has been enhanced, and the ride has become far more thrilling thanks to the mighty excessive torque motor, which unleashes a sweet, muscular roar.” Here’s an improved version: I’ll take your word for it, Aditya, and accept a cold pint of that regional IPA; do you want to share some tasting notes?
