The Zeekr 7X is set to make its global debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 30, with a scheduled market launch slated for late September. Zeekr teases interior with five pivotal details revealed in advance of official unveil, showcasing the brand’s dedication to transparency. Here are the central management buttons, a yacht-inspired mid-platform design, subtle floatation of rippling ambient lighting, speaker systems seamlessly integrated into the overall aesthetic, and intricately perforated seating areas.
According to early images, the forthcoming vehicle is likely to feature an expansive, centrally mounted infotainment screen flanked by a distinctive row of piano-inspired mechanical controls on its rear panel. These features are more likely to appeal to management media and air conditioning enthusiasts, serving to enhance the comfort of the driving experience. Located nearby are two compact Wi-Fi-enabled cell phone charging stations. Chinese language media describe the realm beyond the charging pads as yacht-like in its opulence and refinement. The photographs also suggest the presence of additional controls typically found where the drive selector would normally reside. Despite initial indications from earlier reconnaissance, this could simply be the exterior of what appears to be a refrigerator’s door. Based on the seemingly recessed button in the cubbyhole, it appears likely that this compartment may be accessible from either side. One image shows a speaker with the Zeekr Sound logo prominently displayed, likely situated atop the dashboard. Chinese-language media reportedly claim to have obtained a sample of extraterrestrial material described as resembling sunflowers. Rather than solely being perforated, the seats appear to feature a deliberate pattern of perforations.
The Zeekr 7X embodies a refined ‘hidden power’ design aesthetic, its styling showcasing an array of distinct personalities across the Zeekr range. The notable design elements include the Zeekr Stargate’s innovative all-in-one glass roof, complemented by a sleek clamshell-style rear hatch that seamlessly integrates with the tailgate, effectively eliminating any visual distinction between the two. The rear features an integrated brake light and a distinctive cascade design, complemented by the roof-mounted spoiler and a subtle lip at the tailgate’s window line. The crease seamlessly transitions onto the lip line from the wheel arch.
The Zeekr 7X measures 4.83 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width, and 1.67 meters in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2.93 meters, firmly placing it within the mid-size SUV category. The dual and single motor configurations may be available, featuring all vehicles equipped with a powerful 310-kilowatt electric motor situated at the rear axle. With all-wheel drive iterations, a 165 kW electric motor is integrated at the front, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just three seconds.
The single-motor variant offers customers a choice of battery sizes, ranging from 75 to 100 kilowatt-hours. The 75-kWh battery pack utilizes Geely’s subsidiary VREMT’s proprietary Zeekr-developed golden brick technology. Notably, this marks the second iteration of the lithium-iron-phosphate battery technology, which first emerged in the 2025 model-year Zeekr 007, touted by Geely as the world’s fastest-charging mass-produced electric vehicle. The 100 kWh pack leverages a Qilin ternary lithium battery provided by CATL, enabling a WLTC range of 705 kilometres in the single motor variant; the dual-motor configuration is exclusively available with this 100 kWh battery pack.
The Zeekr 7X has already been spotted undergoing testing abroad. As the Zeekr model rapidly expands globally, it appears increasingly likely that the 7X will be exported to international markets. Despite the title’s resemblance to BMW’s X7, a rename for export markets is advisable. The estimated costs for launching in the Chinese market are expected to range from approximately 240,000 to 350,000 yuan, or between $33,000 and $48,200 USD, depending on various factors.
