Introducing the Heybike Hauler: The Industry’s Most Capable Cargo E-Bike

Here’s a new take: To further confound the oversaturated market for cargo e-bikes, Heybike has entered the fray with its own lengthy offering. Meet the Heybike Hauler.

With its apt moniker, the Heybike Hauler is engineered to transport a substantial payload of up to 440 pounds (200 kilograms), effortlessly accomodating adults, children, and all manner of essentials, from groceries to personal treasures.

Assuming it checks out, this weight ranking propels it into the same league as top-tier cargo bikes from industry giants like Tern, securely placing it among premium offerings.

Ultimately, by incorporating entry-level features like a cadence sensor for pedal assist and a direct-to-consumer sales model, Heybike has refocused its efforts on catering to the more budget-conscious cargo bike market.

While it may lack some of the more luxurious features, the Hauler is equipped with a substantial battery that enables extended range and efficient performance even when hauling heavy loads. The proposed battery solution features a 48V, 18Ah unit offering 864Wh of energy storage capacity.

Riders reportedly achieve distances of up to 88 kilometers, or approximately 55 miles.

A notable enhancement to overall range is possible through an optional secondary battery configuration, which features a 48V 12Ah unit boasting 576Wh of capacity, allowing for up to 85 miles (137 km) of driving with a mixed load profile.

After all, varying estimates are little more than educated guesses. The primary factor that most riders notice is often influenced more by power and speed than by weight. The Heybike Hauler boasts an impressive 1,400W peak output from its 750W continuous-rated rear hub motor, with a top speed of 28mph (45km/h). Such impressive acceleration and speed are now commonplace on high-performance e-bikes designed for hauling large cargo loads.

Comprehending the secondary battery option offers additional benefits beyond mere diversification. This transformation turns an 88-pound (40-kilogram) e-bike into a much sturdier and robust 97-pound (44-kilogram) device.

However, the price you’ll pay for such variability will be that. Properly priced at approximately $1,899 for its dual-battery variant. For just $1,499, the single-battery version offers an affordable entry point to a bike with ample power at your fingertips. To make each fashion even more enticing, we’re offering a limited-time $100 promotional discount to customers who purchase their bike within a short timeframe of its launch.

Diverse options encompass a “breathable” seat, 60mm travel entrance suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, a prominent color LCD display, 20×3″ semi-fat tires, and an LED lighting system featuring automatic on headlights and tail lights, as well as flip indicators that seamlessly pivot.

Available in three vibrant colour options – sunny yellow, sky blue, and crisp white – the UL-certified Heybike Hauler is now up for online pre-order, with shipments set to begin next month.
