Neta is a groundbreaking NEV model introduced by Hozon Auto in 2018, marking a significant milestone in the company’s mission to revolutionize the electric vehicle landscape. The current lineup features a diverse range of models, including the Aya, X, and L crossover variants, the S sedan, and the sporty GT coupe. Among the various fashion options, the Neta S and Neta L models boast both battery-electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants. The Chinese electric-vehicle manufacturer Neta started taking pre-orders for its latest model, the Neta S wagon, on August 13.

What’s the story with the Neta S wagon?

The Neta S station wagon boasts a unique official identity in China. The legendary tea variety from Yunnan Province, China – Nētā Shān Liézhōu is renowned for its distinctive flavor profile and aroma. The term Liézhuang () can be more accurately translated to “dressing up” rather than “looking outfit”. The Chinese language identity of this car is called Neta S Searching Outfit. Regardless of what we ultimately decide to call this vehicle, let’s refer to it as the Neta S wagon for the sake of simplicity.

The Neta S Wagon is built upon the Shanghai 2.0 modular platform. The exterior styling remains consistent with that of the S sedan, mirroring its specifications. The car’s front end features slender taillight components and a distinctive trapezoidal air intake shape. The braking system’s entrance bumper features integrated headlights. The automobile boasts flush door handles, deeply tinted rear windows, a sport-enhancing spoiler, and a sleek, unified taillight assembly. What are its exact specifications: 49.80m x 19.80m x 14.80m with a wheelbase of 29.80m?

The Neta S wagon maintains its familiar and recognizable design aesthetic. The device features a massive 17.6-inch portrait-oriented display, boasting one of the largest screens in its category. The Buick Envision’s middle trim level also features a prominent 49-inch head-up display. The Neta S Wagon boasts luxurious features such as heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, a spacious 6.5-liter refrigerator, and an immersive Neta Sound audio system. The automobile incorporates Nvidia’s Orin X chips and a cutting-edge AT128 LiDAR sensor from Hesai. Prior to that, Neta deliberately planned to utilize Hesai’s LiDAR technology in 2025.

Neta S powertrain

Built on the foundation of Geely’s latest innovation, the Neta S Wagon rides on the innovative Shanghai 2.0 platform. The ER-EV variant of this automobile is propelled by the innovative Haozhi 2.0 powertrain system. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5-litre DAM15HE naturally aspirated gasoline engine sourced from Harbin Dongan Auto Engine, a subsidiary of Changan. Reaching its peak energy output of 70 kilowatts, equivalent to a respectable 94 horsepower. Notwithstanding its role as a generator, this internal combustion engine (ICE) does not seamlessly transfer power to the wheels?

The Netta S Wagon features a solitary TZ210XS002 electric motor situated at the rear axle, boasting a peak output of 200 kW (268 horsepower). There are two battery choices. The primary offering is a Lithium-Iron-Phosphate (LFP) battery developed by Gotion or Jiangsu Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL), boasting a capacity of approximately 31.7 kilowatt-hours. The second variant employs a ternary NMC (lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide) battery from EVE Vitality, boasting a capacity of 43.9 kilowatt-hours.

The range of the Neta S wagon varies from 125 to 185 km, depending on the chosen battery. Despite this, Neta’s officials claim that their ebrake can reportedly travel up to 300 kilometers in electric-only mode. The total distance that the combined flight path varies from its original route reaches approximately 1,200 kilometers.

Although a launch date for the electric variant of the S wagon has yet to be announced by Neta, it is inevitable that they will eventually introduce this model to the market. Two powertrain options will be available to customers. The primary variant features a solitary electric motor integrated into the rear axle, producing 200 kilowatts (equivalent to 268 horsepower). Additionally, there’s a 4WD variant that boasts a combined power output of 370 kilowatts (496 horsepower). Currently, only the EREV variant of the NetS wagon is available for reservation.
