A cutting-edge, three-row electric SUV is poised to revolutionize the automotive landscape in the United States. The all-new Hyundai IONIQ 9 is set to make its official debut in November, marking the culmination of rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.
Hyundai has now gone nearly three years without revealing a production-ready version of its initial three-row electric SUV concept. The IONIQ brand’s flagship electric vehicle concept, previously known as SEVEN, is now expected to be renamed IONIQ 9.
With a projected quantity of 9, the all-new electric SUV is poised to assume an even more prominent role as Hyundai’s flagship model. In the US market, Hyundai currently offers the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and Kona Electric models. However, expanding its lineup with a larger electric SUV could significantly boost its market share.
As with Hyundai’s various dedicated IONIQ models, the SUV will ride on its Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The EV platform, which currently supports Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis models, boasts impressive specifications, including a range of up to 360 miles, rapid charging that can bring the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, and generous interior space.
