A cutting-edge, three-row electric SUV is poised to revolutionize the automotive landscape in the United States. The all-new Hyundai IONIQ 9 is set to make its official debut in November, marking the culmination of rigorous testing and quality assurance processes.

Hyundai has now gone nearly three years without revealing a production-ready version of its initial three-row electric SUV concept. The IONIQ brand’s flagship electric vehicle concept, previously known as SEVEN, is now expected to be renamed IONIQ 9.

With a projected quantity of 9, the all-new electric SUV is poised to assume an even more prominent role as Hyundai’s flagship model. In the US market, Hyundai currently offers the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and Kona Electric models. However, expanding its lineup with a larger electric SUV could significantly boost its market share.

As with Hyundai’s various dedicated IONIQ models, the SUV will ride on its Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The EV platform, which currently supports Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis models, boasts impressive specifications, including a range of up to 360 miles, rapid charging that can bring the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, and generous interior space.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 has been spotted undergoing public testing numerous times since its debut. Recently, a prototype was spotted driving on California roads prior to its US debut; you can view the footage online.

Hyundai’s larger-than-ever IONIQ 5 is set to make its global debut in November.

According to industry reports, Hyundai is set to debut its highly anticipated IONIQ 9 model at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, with the unveiling scheduled for August 12.

As the South Korean automaker wraps up construction on its US Metaplant in Georgia, Hyundai is poised to deliver its electric SUV from a new plant to meet the eligibility criteria for the coveted $7,500 EV tax incentive.

Hyundai has previously announced that the updated IONIQ 5 will be the inaugural model to exit the production line at its new facility, but considering IONIQ 9 production as well would be a logical next step?

Kia’s inaugural three-row electric SUV, the EV9, has been setting the market ablaze in the US since its highly anticipated launch. South Korean automaker Kia has purchased a total of 1,815 EV9 models recently, building on its impressive sales performance in the US market, where it has sold nearly 11,500 units so far this year? By July, Kia’s EV gross sales in the US reveal that the EV9 accounts for more than one-third.

The Hyundai Kona Electric’s E-GMP platform serves as the foundation for the EV9. Will the Hyundai Ioniq 9 successfully carve out a niche in the increasingly crowded electric vehicle market? The Hyundai’s electric SUV is likely to start at a price point slightly higher than Kia’s EV9, which begins at around $54,900. Would you really fork over more cash for a Hyundai, just because of its sleek design and advanced features? Tell us within the feedback.
