Xpeng Mona M03 all-electric hatchback opens for reservations

On August 8, XPeng officially launched the reservation process for its all-new Mona M03 electric hatchback. A 99-yuan ($14 USD) deposit is conditional upon a 3,000-yuan ($418 USD) discount being applied to the purchase quantity based on the acquisition amount. The automaker’s projected pricing for the vehicle is expected to come in under 200,000 yuan (approximately $28,000 USD). Xpeng introduces Mona, its latest brand, signifying “Made Of New AI,” focused on intelligent driving capabilities. 

Mass production of our innovative model will commence this month, as announced by He Xiaopeng, its visionary founder. For its exterior, the Xpeng G9 has an official aspect ratio of 1.31, features an electrically operated tailgate, and boasts a sleek drag coefficient of 0.194Cd. XPeng further emphasized that its electric vehicle features 15 meticulously designed aerodynamic enhancements to minimize air resistance and maximize efficiency.

The trunk has a standard capacity of 621 liters and is capable of accommodating one 28-inch plus four 20-inch suitcases simultaneously.

The car’s headlights and taillights are designed in a unique “010” pattern, comprising 300 individual LED units each. The Xpeng automobile boasts a “breathable” front end, designed to efficiently consume air and optimize aerodynamics while also providing effective powertrain cooling through routine airflow intake.

The panoramic sunroof features an official UV isolation rating of 99.9%, IR isolation rating of 97.6%, and a visual light transmission rate of

18-inch rims are normal. Optional 19-inch sports activities-oriented wheels are also available for added performance and style.

The automobile is available in a range of five exterior paint options for customers to choose from. Its dimensions, as outlined in the specifications, measure 4780 x 1896 x 1445 mm, with a wheelbase of 2815 mm and three available curb weights: 1661 kg, 1631 kg, and 1739 kg. In addition, the vehicle boasts more than 20 strategically placed sensors that enable advanced driving assistance features.

The interior features a palette of three soothing hues: Morning Mist Grey, Midday Blue, and serene Evening Grey. The cockpit features a clear-cut layout with a prominent 15.6-inch central management display screen, a D-shaped steering wheel that provides easy access to essential controls, and discreetly integrated air-conditioning vents that blend seamlessly into the design. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and 16GB of RAM are standard for the entire lineup.

The cutting-edge infotainment system boasts an array of innovative features, including 256-color ambient lighting, an 18-speaker audio setup, seamless integration with AI-powered voice assistants, wireless charging for smartphones, over-the-air updates, keyless entry and remote phone management, in-car Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity, as well as intelligent charging performance capabilities.

The standard trim is driven by a 140-kilowatt electric motor, capable of producing 188 horsepower, while the efficiency trim is equipped with a more powerful 160-kilowatt motor, yielding 215 horsepower. The Blade battery range from BYD’s FinDreams Battery is available in two capacities: 51.8 kilowatt-hours (kWh) and 62.2 kWh, offering corresponding Certified Low-Temperature Cycle (CLTC) ranges of 515 kilometers (km) and 620 km, respectively. The highest recorded speed is approximately 155 kilometres per hour.
