Jaguar has unveiled an updated version of its I-PACE electric SUV, boasting reduced power output and a more affordable price tag.

The UK-based automaker has enjoyed moderate success with its inaugural electric vehicle, the I-Tempo, despite being hampered by premium pricing and intense competition in the burgeoning luxury electric SUV market.

Now, Jaguar is unveiling its latest innovation: the “I-PACE EV320”, a cutting-edge electric vehicle that revolutionizes the driving experience.

“The Jaguar I-PACE EV320 boasts a comprehensive feature set and industry-leading expertise, setting it apart from the competition. This all-electric SUV is now available with the latest Pivi Professional infotainment system, Cabin Air Ionisation with PM2.5 filter, and ClearSight digital rear-view mirror. The EV320 also features a sleek new Atlas Grey grille finish. In addition, customers can look forward to an expanded color palette and fresh wheel designs.”

The brand’s newest model offers a lower price point and slightly reduced performance compared to the original I-Tempo EV400.

The British automaker claims it has reconfigured the electric motor within its electric SUV to deliver a maximum power output of 235 kW, equivalent to 320 horsepower.

The drivetrain of the Jaguar I-PACE EV320 is essentially identical to its more powerful counterpart, the I-PACE EV400. While the battery’s 90-kWh capacity remains unchanged, the electrical motors have been recalibrated to reduce the combined output to 235 kW (320 hp). The resultant torque of 500 Nm and all-wheel drive enable the EV320 to deliver a clean yet energetic performance, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 6.4 seconds. Its range remains unchanged at 470 km under WLTP testing, making it an impressive balance of efficiency, refinement, and handling at a more accessible price point.

Under slightly reduced energy levels, the I-Tempo EV320 arrives at a significantly more affordable price point.

Priced from €81,855 ($96,573 USD), the initial base model of the I-Tempo hit the European market, inclusive of VAT.

Starting at a price of €65,990 (approximately $77,855 USD), inclusive of VAT.

In the US market, Jaguar is poised to introduce its newly designed I-PACE model, requiring a significant reduction in price from its current base value of $69,850 before factoring in incentives.

The automaker revealed that the new model will be manufactured in limited quantities, without specifying the exact production volume.
