The Voyah Zhiyin launched on August 5. Four variants of the automobile are available, though pricing details remain undisclosed. The Voyah brand debuts its inaugural international prototype, underscoring its ambition to expand globally.
The Voyah Zhiyin, a standalone electric vehicle, leverages Dongfeng’s ESSA architecture to deliver exceptional performance. The fourth iteration of the Voyah model adheres to its family-inspired aesthetic, presenting a familiar design paradigm. Notably, vehicles are equipped with thorough-type lights at every entrance and rear exit. As customers enter the space, they are immediately immersed in the Voyah brand identity.
Interestingly, the rear tires feature distinctive black outlining around their circumference, in stark contrast to the front tires, which lack this visual accent. Additionally, you might notice a discernible shark-fin-inspired design element slicing into the D-pillar. The Zhiyin boasts a sleek, blackened rooftop above its window line, further accentuated by a sturdy roof rack. The vehicle’s rear features an expansive skid plate, yet its tailgate appears proportionally oversized.
The Voyah Zhiyin’s exterior dimensions are considerable, measuring 4,725mm, 1,900mm, and 1,636mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,900mm. The curb weights for the various models come in at 2099 kg, 2145 kg, and 2227 kg.
Initially, one might assume that the prominent dashboard-integrated entertainment screen is solely dedicated to presenting data. Nonetheless, a compact instrument panel is discreetly integrated into the air vents, while a high-definition head-up display is conveniently projected for seamless navigation. The Zhiyin features frameless doorways and boasts an impressive array of luxurious leather elements. The automobile is reportedly equipped with Huawei’s advanced cockpit and innovative driving system.
The single and dual-motor configurations for various automobiles are available to discover. All RWD variants offer a choice between two power options: one featuring a 215 kW electric motor and another equipped with a 230 kW unit. Equipped with either a 77-kilowatt-hour or 109-kilowatt-hour battery pack, the electric vehicle offers impressive driving ranges: 625 kilometers for the base model, and up to 901 kilometers in its long-range variant. The dual-motor model leverages a pair of 160 kW electric motors, one situated at the front axle and another at the rear axle. Equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack, this model boasts an impressive range of up to 570 kilometers, as certified by the Chinese Laboratory Testing and Certification (CLTC) protocol. With its innovative 800V architecture, the Voyah Zhiyin seamlessly integrates 5C charging capabilities for a more efficient driving experience. Can this seemingly impossible feat actually be achieved by an ordinary automobile? It seems likely that this technology will primarily benefit vehicles equipped with larger battery packs.
The all-new vehicle is a key component of the Let’s Voyah initiative, aimed at placing the model in 60 countries across six continents and achieving annual sales of 500,000 by 2030. The model marks its first foray into a more conventionally styled SUV. In China, deliveries should ideally begin earlier than the year’s end.
