I have a certain affinity for the Royal Enfield 650 twins. When someone inquires about the classic-style motorcycle I recommend they consider purchasing.

I suggest that they take a ride on an Enfield 650, and then perhaps their misconceptions will be clarified. I once convinced a friend to buy one during the time it took us to finish our lattes. He promptly visited the local dealership, test-driving one before securing his purchase on the same day. What a thrilling adventure awaits! Royal Enfield, with its rich history and iconic motorcycles, is sure to captivate your imagination.

Are the Enfield twins a wise investment opportunity at their current price point? For an affordable price of around $10,000 AUD, you can get your hands on a reliable 650cc parallel-twin motorcycle equipped with a smooth slip-help clutch, grippy tyres, and a sleek model design. With their sleek designs and impressive features, it’s little wonder that these vehicles practically vanish from showroom floors.

Andy Duff from Perth, Western Australia, shares my sentiments regarding the RE650s, reflecting a collective experience of admiration for these devices. As I asked him about the reasons behind his choice of the Royal Enfield Continental GT650, he replied, “I opted for the Continental GT650 because its classic design and iconic look drew me in. The bike’s ability to seamlessly blend modern tech with vintage charm truly resonated with my style.”

I recently replaced my previous bicycle after it was unfortunately stolen.

During my assessment, I had the opportunity to examine a selection of various bikes, including the Triumph Road Cup, Thruxton R, Moto Guzzi V7, and BMW R 9 T Racer, among others. The Enfield motorcycle boasted an exceptional journey, accompanied by impressive sound and feel, effortlessly putting a smile on my face, all while being remarkably affordable at its price point. The low cost also allowed me to make the changes. Had I invested in a Thruxton R, perhaps I wouldn’t have felt the need to make such extensive modifications.

After taking the inventory bike for a spin, Duff decided to implement the modifications presented below. To give his Enfield some added oomph, Justin from Professional Twin in Wangara, just north of Perth’s city center, received a visit from him.

Justin installed an Energy Commander on his vehicle and sent Duff back down the freeway to deliver it to Billy and the team at Rogue Bikes in West Perth. Duff arrived earlier than expected after obtaining a boost from the Energy Commander’s wake-up call for his engine.

The rogue workshop swiftly disassembled the faulty wheels, expediting their repair. The manufacturing unit’s aggressive stance has been amplified with the addition of bold new 16-inch wheel rims, their hubs securely laced for an unyielding presence. The bike’s entrance is equipped with a 3.5-inch Shinko Traditional whitewall tire, while the rear features a robust, 5-inch Shinko Tremendous Traditional whitewall tire, showcasing the manufacturer’s commitment to quality and style.

The entrance guard, fork gaiters, and engine safety plate are exclusive accessories from Royal Enfield’s manufacturing unit, carefully curated as part of their esteemed brand accent line. With its significantly larger and more prominent entrance tire, the gate was adjusted upward to ensure sufficient clearance.

The primary focal point of the design construct lies in the innovative entrance fairing developed by India-based Autologue Design. Autologue Design excels at crafting premium bolt-on physique kits; its Reck range of Royal Enfield fairings is both impressive and affordably priced, making it an attractive option for enthusiasts on a budget. The Reck fairing equipment arrives unfinished, complete with all necessary mounting hardware for a hassle-free installation process.

Within the confines of the Rogue workshop, Billy’s fabrication skills came to the fore as he constructed a large-diameter exhaust system, complete with slash-cut mufflers that added a touch of rugged individualism to the overall aesthetic. While the Enfield remains under the spotlight in the beauty sphere, attention-grabbing whispers still circulate about its unique feature. loud.

While attention to the auditory aspects of the Australian Design Guidelines may have been lacking, the visual requirements were still meticulously met. The faired home houses a Koso LED headlight meticulously positioned by Billy, while the clip-on handlebars feature Motogadget’s sleek mo.blaze disc LED indicators.

When discussing Motogadget innovations, the mo.view Spy mirrors seamlessly integrate with symptoms, while the mo.swap mini elegantly handles control functions. Each component operates smoothly through a specially designed m-unit installed beneath the seat by Billy. To further refine the cockpit area, Duff installed adjustable levers sourced from Hitchcock Bikes, a UK-based supplier.

The aluminum sheet was shaped into a seat cowl by Clive Ross’s skilled hands at The Hammer Works in Rockingham. Billy adjusted the subframe to precisely fit the newly designed cowling, resulting in a seamless integration.

This vintage car seat originates directly from the Enfield manufacturing unit’s official catalogues. The lighting duties are once again streamlined through the employment of Kellermann Atto DF indicators, which concurrently serve as both brake and tail lamps, fulfilling three distinct obligations in one. Fascinatingly, these tiny telescopes can generate massive amounts of radiant light, and yet, they do.

With meticulous precision, Billy installed the comprehensive rear lighting assembly onto his custom-tailored tail tidy, expertly welding it onto the newly fabricated subframe loop, thereby elegantly streamlining the bike’s rear profile. Designed specifically for high-performance enthusiasts, Rogue has custom-crafted a set of TEC rear-seat footpegs to perfectly align with the human form.

All the bodywork was shipped out to Simon at Motorbike Panel and Paint in Malaga, situated in Perth’s northern region. Duff drew inspiration from a friend’s high-performance bicycle, its sleek design sparking the concept for what was to come.

Underneath the fading light of day, the bicycle’s sleek finish appears a deep, rich matte black. As a hint of daylight filters in, the painter’s masterful work is illuminated, showcasing the brilliance of their craft. As the eye travels along the bike’s sleek profile, pearlescent hues transform from a soft, inexperienced tone to a vibrant teal, finally settling on a soothing blue.

When inquiring about his preferred aspect of the construct, Duff responded, “I’d have to say my favourite part is the paint job.” It got here out excellent. Attracting your attention and drawing you in.

Riding enthusiasts Duff and Rogue succinctly illustrate the ease with which you can transform a Royal Enfield into a top-notch cafe racer. By returning the brand to its heritage, they’ve simplified the design and launched a more affordable option. Here is the rewritten text:

The Royal Enfield 650’s classic design is further solidified by bikes like this, which cement its reputation as one of the best classically styled motorcycles on the market today.
