Overview

While a limited selection of middleweight cruisers currently exists in the market. While most V-twin cruisers boast engines exceeding 1,000cc, the Honda Shadow Phantom’s mid-sized powerplant strikes a balance between energetic performance and non-intimidating handling for its 2024 model year revision.

The engine boasts a robust 745cc displacement, featuring a liquid-cooled V-twin configuration with a single overhead camshaft, three valves per cylinder, and the added reliability of twin spark plugs in each cylinder head. The long-stroke design has been optimized to deliver exceptional low-end torque. The cylinder head options feature contrasting-cut fins on the black engine, giving it an added layer of sophistication and modern flair. The engine is powered by Honda’s advanced PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) fuel-injection system. Energy is efficiently distributed through a robust five-speed transmission to a durable and low-maintenance shaft-based drivetrain.

The chassis design boasts a premium feature set, with a sturdy 41mm fork nestled within a lightweight yet durable billet-aluminum triple clamp. Additionally, the rear suspension configuration includes adjustable preload capabilities on both dual shocks. The seat height measures just 25.6 inches, ensuring a comfortable riding position for riders of various stature.

The 2024 updates introduce a fresh aesthetic, characterized by minimalist front and rear fenders, an updated headlight cowl design, and a new handlebar configuration. The bike also features spoked black wheels in 17-inch and 15-inch sizes, paired with 120/90-17 and 160/80-15 tires respectively.

Pricing and Variants

The 2024 Shadow Phantom has arrived on the market, boasting a sleek design in two striking colour options: Deep Pearl Grey and vibrant Orange Metallic. The base model, sans advanced safety features like anti-lock braking, is priced at $8,399. The ABS-equipped model is $8,699. In California, consumers are limited to purchasing the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) variant of the vehicle.
