The Neta X represents the updated iteration of the pioneering Neta U, which underwent a significant facelift in 2023 before being rebranded as the Neta X at its official unveiling. The Neta X boasts an initial price tag of approximately 99,800 yuan (or $13,750 USD) in China, while its dimensions are substantial: measuring 4619mm in length, 1860mm in width, and 1628mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2770mm.

Neta Group’s expansion into Thailand and Malaysia?

In Thailand, the Neta X is available in two trim levels, with a price range of 739,000 to 799,000 Thai baht, equivalent to approximately $20,580 to $22,250 USD. In Malaysia, the vehicle is offered in three variants, priced between MYR 119,888 and MYR 135,888, equivalent to approximately USD 25,750 to USD 29,180. The official price range for the Neta X in China is ¥99,800-¥124,800, equivalent to approximately $13,750-$17,200.

In Thailand and Malaysia, the Neta X is available with a right-hand drive configuration, featuring a 15.6-inch central touchscreen display that floats above the dashboard, as well as an 8.9-inch instrument cluster also designed to float. The innovative infotainment system seamlessly integrates multi-language voice control, online music streaming, intuitive built-in navigation, and remote vehicle management capabilities via a user-friendly mobile application. Furthermore, the system provides a sophisticated L2-level driving assistance technology.

The Thai and Malaysian fashion designs incorporate a durable and reliable everlasting magnet synchronous motor, boasting a maximum power output of 120 kilowatts and a peak torque rating of 210 newton-meters. Equipped with either a 51.8 kWh or 62 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack, the vehicle boasts a WLTP range of 323 kilometers and 410 kilometers, respectively.

Abroad Manufacturing

At the culmination of the previous year, Hozon Auto’s Neta brand initiated production of its inaugural model, the Neta V-II – also known as the Neta Aya in China – in Thailand. Prior to the announcement, production was expected to commence in January 2024; however, following collaboration with our local Thai partner, Bangchan Normal Meeting, we were able to accelerate the timeline and initiate manufacturing earlier.

The new Neta X, which has just been released, shares the same production line as its predecessor. Thailand’s manufacturing facility initially focuses on providing vehicles to both Thailand and Malaysia, with the intention of expanding its market reach to other Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam in due course.

According to market trends, Neta emerged as Thailand’s second-best-selling electric vehicle model, trailing closely behind BYD, with an impressive total of 12,777 units sold. Thailand’s bestseller? These impressive sales figures were driven exclusively by the Neta V, a single model that has catapulted to become the country’s second-best-selling electric vehicle last year, with its gross revenue a testament to its enduring appeal. By 2024, Neta aims to expand its global reach by establishing a sales network covering 50 countries and setting up 500 international retail and service centers.
