Geely’s premium brand Zeekr has successfully submitted its application to the Chinese Ministry of Trade and Information Technology for the 7X mid-size SUV, paving the way for its expected August or September launch. The corporation has submitted three distinct variants: a 310kW single-motor rear-drive configuration paired with an LFP battery, a second iteration featuring the same specifications but utilizing a ternary lithium battery, and finally, a dual-motor all-wheel drive system boasting both 165kW and 310kW capabilities, powered by a ternary lithium battery.
The Zeekr 007 sedan’s powertrain is carried over from its predecessor, featuring a tried-and-true three-electric motor setup. The electric vehicle features a 75-kilowatt-hour “Golden Brick” battery developed by Zeekr, as well as a 100-kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery from Ningde Kirin. The vehicle boasts dimensions of 4825mm in length, 1930mm in width, and 1656mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2925mm; it also features an optional single-chamber air suspension system for enhanced ride comfort. Options for enhancing your vehicle’s appearance and functionality include a roof rack, advanced LiDAR technology, a distinctive two-tone roof, and a sturdy tow hook.
As the launch date approaches, fresh interior images of the 7X have emerged. Inside the black trim, subtle adjustments to the central console and door panels await discovery. Unlike Bond’s sleek dashboard, the 7X’s console features two 50W wireless charging stations upfront, a discreet cup holder at the rear, and a substantial armrest area that likely conceals a rear refrigerator compartment. The premium leather-trimmed seats boast an exclusive design inspired by the 007, featuring plush backrest cushioning for enhanced support, perfectly tailored to its family-oriented SUV persona.
The door panels boast a sleek, newly designed aesthetic, featuring enhanced ambient illumination and thoughtful storage compartments. The interior of the 7X is thoughtfully designed, featuring multiple storage compartments that demonstrate a clear attention to detail. The central management display screen, actually a test system, displays the label “Zeekr 001”. The OLED horizontal display screen features an intuitive interface with dedicated physical buttons for five distinct functions and a gear selector.
While details about the rear cabin remain under wraps, whispers suggest that it will surpass the comfort levels of the Zeekr 001 in several key ways. Options include ventilated and heated seats featuring advanced therapeutic massage capabilities, rear-seat entertainment systems, adjustable leg rests and footrests, a zero-gravity seating mode, and retractable window shades for optimal comfort and relaxation.
The X’s exterior seamlessly integrates into the brand-new household design language unveiled with the 007 model. The vehicle boasts a unique entrance façade, featuring a consistent gentle stripe, a clamshell hood, and exterior mirrors sans frames. The all-new 7X boasts a suite of innovative features, including advanced grille designs, sleekly integrated door handles that retract for added aerodynamics, and a distinctive steady tail light arrangement that exudes sophistication.
While maintaining the robust chassis architecture of its predecessor, the 7X offers optional air suspension technology, enhancing its handling and luxury features to provide a more refined driving experience. Intelligent driving options incorporate diverse settings with advanced driver assistance technologies, including LiDAR-based navigation for city driving.
The Zeekr 7X is set to challenge the dominance of the Mannequin Y, alongside other prominent rivals such as the Xiaomi MX11 SUV, Li Auto L6, and Onvo L60. The 7X is designed to excel in terms of innovation, comfort, and efficiency, with a projected price range spanning 240,000 to 350,000 yuan (approximately $33,000 to $48,200).
