GAC Aion successfully shipped its inaugural consignment of 500 Aion Y Plus vehicles to Indonesia on July 26, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s international expansion. A fleet of vehicles had embarked from Xinsha Port in Guangdong province. The latest addition to the global expansion of the Aion model’s international footprint is the newest transfer. Upon the successful completion and start-up of the Thai plant on July 17.
In December, the Aion model hosted a successful launch event in Jakarta, Indonesia, where it unveiled its comprehensive strategy for the Indonesian market. Two versions of the Aion Y Plus were launched in Indonesia, specifically designed for the local market: Unique (410km range) and Premium (490km range), with a price range of 415,000,000 to 475,000,000 IDR (approximately $25,200 to $28,900 USD).
