UK-based classic-car electrification expert Electrogenic teams up with partners in Vermont and Texas to cater to American enthusiasts seeking convenient access to electric vehicles.
Electrogenic has partnered with TATC of Dorset, Vermont, and Xerbera based in Dallas, to establish its global network of installers. Electrogenic’s UK-designed and engineered conversion kits are poised to make their US debut, empowering American car enthusiasts to switch from fossil fuels to electricity with ease.
TATC and Xerbera are poised to match Electrogenic’s comprehensive range of “drop-in” EV conversion kits, which provide plug-and-play access to advanced electrical drivetrain technology.
Electrogenic’s electrification kits will be installed by TATC, renowned for its meticulous “nut-and-bolt” restoration of Land Rover Defenders, on not only these iconic vehicles but also on the Jaguar E-Type and Triumph Stag models.
Xerbera, renowned for its cutting-edge, bespoke Land Rover creations as well as expert restoration services, is now offering comprehensive Defender conversion and restoration packages. The converter would also transform electrically Jaguar ESports, Porsche 911s, and other fundamental car models.

Manufacturing its proprietary expertise, comprising in-house designed software, custom-printed circuit boards, and tailored digital dashboards, as well as bespoke Battery Management Systems and automotive charging technology. The driving dynamics interface has been further refined to include three distinct modes: Sport, Eco, and Traffic. Additionally, a regenerative downhill control feature is now available for the Defender, ensuring a smoother and more controlled descent down hills.
Electrogenic’s innovative drop-in kits feature a groundbreaking approach to crafting high-density battery packs, paired with precision-made in-line and transverse gearboxes engineered in the UK. The adaptable packaging solutions ensure that each “drop-in” package variant seamlessly integrates with the existing automobile design and architecture, preserving its original form and functionality. This strategy guarantees complete reversibility for every electrogeneric conversion.
All conversion kits utilize single-speed, fixed-ratio transmissions, allowing them to support up to 6.6 kW AC charging capabilities, in conjunction with rapid CCS charging.
