Yamaha updates its adorable little e-Vino electric scooter, boosting its tiny range

The Yamaha e-Vino, a charming retro-styled electric scooter evoking distinct Vespa undertones, lacked significant power prowess. Yamaha has further enhanced the appeal of its latest scooter model by introducing subtle yet effective improvements in fuel efficiency.

Exclusive to Yamaha’s domestic Japanese market, the e-Vino electric scooter was a city-dwelling phenomenon in its entirety.

The compact electric vehicle initially benefited from our coating process, with its 580W continuous-rated motor capable of propelling it to a respectable top speed of approximately 27 mph (44 km/h).

The solitary 500Wh battery didn’t offer much to get excited about, providing a relatively modest range of just 18 miles (29 km) when operating at a leisurely pace. A second battery option effectively doubled the capacity, but two times something small still remains relatively insignificant.

The newly launched e-Vino is poised to significantly boost its early sales figures.

Yamaha boosted the battery capacity of each pack by 17%, replacing previous modules with a newly enhanced 585 Wh offering, up from the original 500 Wh.

With its enhanced battery capacity, Yamaha promises a substantial range increase from 29 km to 32 km. What’s a total of 20 miles, for us? With two batteries installed, its power doubles.

The motor has been upgraded to a robust 1,200-watt rating, ensuring that it won’t leave a trail of rubber behind its 10-inch tires.

While its modest weight of 68 kg (150 pounds) may suggest a focus on portability rather than speed or power, this lightweight electric scooter is certainly not designed with prime efficiency in mind. Quite frankly, this sleek urban electric scooter is specifically engineered for short, effortless excursions around the city.

The latest 2023 mannequin also introduces two new colorways.

Here is the rewritten text: As ubiquitous as the vintage yellow and white aesthetic remains, two new options – a pair of sky blue and white hues – have become available. These sneakers feature a clean, approachable aesthetic that adds visual appeal to the overall design, whereas their bold, bright yellow predecessors may have been too adventurous for some tastes.

The highly-anticipated Yamaha e-Vino is set to arrive in dealerships by the end of this month, with a price tag equivalent to approximately $2,200 USD. Compared to the costs of retro-electric scooters in the US market, this pricing is reasonably competitive.

Yamaha’s low-energy yet high-class electric scooter offering. Let’s hear your ideas within the remark part under.
