BYD’s Zhang Zhuo, the common supervisor overseeing the Ocean series, took to social media to announce that the highly anticipated BYD Seal 07 will officially debut in early August. The Seal 07 is set to be built on the back of BYD’s advanced e-platform 3.0 Evo, which boasts a powerful 800-volt high-voltage system designed to significantly boost motor speed and charging efficiency.
While maintaining its sleek appearance, the Seal 07 boasts E-shaped daytime running lights, sharp air intakes, and a striking full-width LED tail light finished with chromed accents. Measuring 4.8 metres in length, 1.88 metres in width, and 1.46 metres in height, the vehicle’s dimensions strike an ideal balance between style and functionality, boasting a wheelbase of 2.92 metres.
Notable upgrades in the revised Seal 07 include a fresh rear badge, reimagined alloy wheels, and an integrated rooftop lidar sensor, enhancing its intelligent driving capabilities and overall performance. Advanced driver-assistance systems with innovative features will effectively integrate newly installed cameras. Normal fashion options now include advanced physique radar systems, sleek skylights, high-gloss silver faceted window trim, and a range of innovative wheel designs.
The interior of the Seal 07 is set to receive enhancements to the dashboard, a revamped center console, and refreshed air vents. The innovative features of this vehicle will include a sleek, brand-new sporty steering wheel, a cutting-edge totally digital instrument panel, a convenient wireless charging pad, discreetly integrated air vents, and a cleverly designed in-console heart console armrest with ample storage space. The mid-level management space and door trim panels will maintain tactile buttons for frequently accessed functions, while also offering a wide-spanning solar roof with a manually operated sun shade.
The SEAL-07, available in a rear-wheel-drive configuration, boasts impressive power outputs of up to 170 kW and 230 kW, coupled with top speeds of 220 km/h and 240 km/h, respectively. Paired with 61.44 kWh and 80.64 kWh Blade batteries, these models will boast CLTC ranges of 510 km and 650 km respectively. The all-wheel-drive variant maintains the same motor power output as its predecessor, combined with advanced Blade battery technology, allowing for an impressive estimated range of up to 600 kilometers on a single charge. The BYD Seal EV’s price range spans 179,800 to 249,800 yuan, equivalent to approximately $24,750 to $34,400 USD, positioning it as a competitor to the Tesla Model 3, Xpeng P7, and Zeekr 007.
