The newly revised Hyundai Kona Electric has become even more affordable, boasting an impressive range of over 315 miles on a single charge. The Chevrolet brand’s upcoming electric variant of the Equinox SUV is slated to receive a mid-cycle refresh. Here’s a revised version: The Chevrolet Equinox EV is poised to receive a boost, with the anticipated $35,000 model set to hit the market in 2025.
General Motors asserts that its Chevrolet Equinox electric vehicle boasts an impressive range of over 315 miles and offers a competitively priced entry point to electric mobility, redefining affordability in the industry.
The base trim 2024 Chevrolet Equinox (2LT Front-Wheel Drive) model starts at an affordable $24,995, offering a maximum driving range of up to 319 miles.
Accordingly, the corporation confirms that an additional affordable 1LT FWD trim will be available for ordering later this year, starting at $34,995.
Following the launch of Equinox EV deliveries in May, General Motors committed to bringing a more affordable model to market. This could suggest that the product’s design or features are intended for a specific model year, potentially the 2025 model year.
The Chevy Equinox EV will see a modest boost in range for the 2025 model year. The refreshed FWD fashions will now boast 220 horsepower, a boost from their previous 213 horsepower output. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant will also see a gain of 12 horsepower, culminating in a maximum output of up to 300 horsepower.
The electric SUV’s trim options have undergone subtle adjustments. The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV is expected to feature a simplified trim lineup, consisting of just two options: the LT and the sporty RS.
General Motors will introduce a new $35,000 trim level for the Chevrolet Equinox Electric in 2025.
The 2LT trim will evolve to become simply the LT, as standard features previously reserved for this level of trim are now available as optional upgrades. In the meantime, the 2025 LT trim boasts standard features including cloth seats, a urethane-wrapped steering wheel, and a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
Chevrolet will offer the entry-level LT trim in various configurations, including the Convenience, Energetic Safety 2, and Comfort packages. The higher-priced LT and RS trims will likely come equipped with the Energetic Safety Package 3 and Comfort Package 2.
The Comfort Package essentially comprises the same features found in the 2024 Equinox’s 2LT trim level. The Comfort Package Deal 2 features a comprehensive array of amenities and technologies typically found in the 3LT trim.
The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV RS comes standard with the Comfort Package features and black roof rails.
Notably, the Chevrolet Equinox EV also benefits from a $7,500 EV tax credit, not reflected in the pricing. For the 2022 model year, the price of a base-level 2LT trim starts at just $35,795. Meanwhile, the base 1LT trim’s sticker price likely hovers around $26,000 to $27,500 at most.
The all-new 1LT FWD will likely hit the market by the end of 2024. | $34,995 |
