Established as a renowned bespoke bicycle workshop, Kaffeemaschine is particularly celebrated for crafting Moto Guzzi cafe racers that are highly coveted in the custom motorcycle community due to their understated aesthetic and focus on both performance and dependability. Their bicycles have gained a reputation across Germany, the United States, and beyond.

The iconic café racer culture originated with the inventory of a legendary Le Mans 3 model, a coveted choice among enthusiasts globally. William Connor, a California enthusiast, sought to recreate the classic ’60s cafe racer aesthetic with modern twists, including functional brakes that combined nostalgia with functionality.

The team disassembled the bike to its constituent parts, then meticulously reassembled the engine with high-performance components, including 1040ccm pistons and cylinders, a precision-balanced crankshaft, a lightweight flywheel and clutch assembly, twin-spark ignition heads, a sport-tuned camshaft and valves, digital timing control, and newly installed carburetors.

The motorcycle’s chassis had been meticulously refitted to accommodate its newly overhauled powerplant, boasting a custom-designed exhaust system and an exquisite, hand-forged WBO alloy fuel reservoir. The seat was carefully crafted from supple leather to enhance the tank’s overall aesthetic. To boost performance and safety, the vehicle’s braking system has been refined with modern master cylinders, high-strength brake lines, and a rear-wheel torque assist mechanism designed to optimize stability and control. The forks have been further upgraded with newly installed tubes and Factory Adjusted Compression (FAC) dampers for enhanced performance.

To modernize the classic design, the team replaced the distinctive analog gauges with a cutting-edge Motogadget digital gauge, now increasingly popular in the custom motorcycle community.

While Kaffeemaschine’s attention to detail is praiseworthy, the mention of recommending Axel’s crew to Moto Guzzi seems unrelated to the initial praise; consider rephrasing for clarity.
