For over 15 years, the innovative team at Juiced has been meticulously crafting the latest iteration of their flagship product, the JetCurrent Professional – a testament to their unwavering dedication and passion for excellence.
Although some may have forgotten, Juiced Bikes was indeed a pioneering US e-bike company in its time. Upon reintroducing myself to e-bikes around 2010, I found that Juiced had already established itself as a top-tier brand by then. Since its inception, Tora’s team has consistently explored the concept of a folding e-bike.
As a trailblazer in the realm of electric bicycles, our path began more than 15 years ago, when I repurposed my first e-bike – a folding bike – to create something new from an existing framework. “In a market saturated with low-end, toy-like electric bicycles, we saw an opportunity to disrupt the status quo and push the boundaries of innovation.”
The sleek and powerful Juiced Jet Current Professional eschews any semblance of playfulness, exuding a sense of professionalism in its every design element. With a powerful 1,200W continuous-rated and 2,000W peak-rated electric motor, as well as advanced sensors including a 1,000 Hz torque sensor and 100 pole cadence sensor, this e-bike is truly designed for the demands of heavy-duty use.
Although certain restrictions may apply, limiting the system’s operation to class 1, 2, and 3 ranges of velocity and energy is possible; however, it can also operate beyond these boundaries. Rather more.
With the monitor mode fully engaged, as indicated on the LCD display specifically designed for off-road excursions only, the bike can accelerate to 30 miles per hour solely on throttle input or reach a top speed of 34 miles per hour when assisted by pedaling.
To power its exceptional performance at high velocities, this bike features one of the industry’s most substantial battery capacities. With a 52V and 19.2 Wh UL-compliant battery pack, users can harness an impressive 1,000 watt-hours of power. That’s sufficient for over 70 miles of varied driving at decreased speeds and energy ranges, yet still capable of delivering efficient performance at higher energy levels.
The battery also features a unique selling point – a concealed Airtag compartment, allowing users to leverage Apple’s FindMy technology and keep track of their bike or battery’s whereabouts in case it’s misplaced or, worst-case scenario, stolen.
The goal is to establish transportation-grade electric vehicle status for an e-bike that just so happens to also function as a bicycle. As Tori continued, “This product embodies everything we’ve learned over the past 15 years; it’s a testament to our relentless commitment to innovation.” Why not create a game-changing e-bike that surpasses all our previous models?
To guarantee a robust design, this bike is certified for a stable 300-pound payload, featuring sturdy components harmonizing with M14 locking dropouts that ensure a wobble-free performance.
To fulfill their requirements and meet the energy demands, Juiced had to create an entirely new fork from scratch. As the corporate defined:
“The JetCurrent Pro’s efficiency envelope significantly surpasses even the most optimistic specifications set for traditional bicycles and e-bicycles.” As our initial request for an off-the-shelf entrance suspension fork was unavailable, we decided to pioneer the development of a bespoke fork equipped with innovative features that departed from industry norms in the e-bike sector.
The Fork’s robust design features strong-acting locking dropouts that boast an impressive three times the thickness of standard e-bike fork components. A robust M14 entrance axle guarantees the stability of the entrance hub during intense braking, optimally utilizing the 4-piston hydraulic disc brake system’s full potential. The fork bridge has undergone significant thickening, now featuring three robust mounting points for securing the headlight, flip signals, and entry fender mount.
The Juiced Rider, boasting industry-leading 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes that firmly grasp 203mm rotors, a commanding presence in its class.
The e-bike boasts advanced features such as a motion-activated alarm, adjustable folding mirror, flip-up alerts, and a powerful 1,000-lumen headlight, accompanied by a 100dB built-in horn, effectively mimicking the capabilities of a motorcycle in an electric bicycle format.
Riders can also leverage the bike’s comprehensive toolkit, featuring front and rear fenders, a rack system equipped with rapid deployment capabilities, as well as USB device charging for added convenience.
The Juiced bike will hit the road in four distinct hues: Black, alongside fresh additions Indigo Blue, Desert Tan, and a bold debut with Purple Haze. Manufacturing has commenced, and pre-order options are currently available for the $2,799 e-bike, with delivery schedules set to begin in early June.

It’s undoubtedly a foldable bicycle of some sort, likely a moped hybrid. Compared to other folding e-bikes on the market, this model stands out as a game-changer. While its subdued appearance may initially suggest a laid-back, non-threatening moped, it’s actually a surprisingly powerful machine, concealing considerable energy, torque, and versatility beneath its unassuming exterior.
While there exist undeniable advantages tied to this design. The e-bike boasts impressive specs: a peak energy output of 2,000W, 105Nm of torque, and swift acceleration. But what truly sets it apart is its thoughtful design, including the convenient option to remove the battery without having to fold the frame.
The key difference in precise pedal feel stems from the size of the torque sensor, which being larger provides a more significant advantage.
What lies ahead with an behemoth battery, upgraded propulsion, retractable design, enhanced shock absorption, and an array of premium features including an alarm system, advanced braking technology, audible warning device, and prominent lighting? This promises to be a truly awe-inspiring adventure.
While the bike’s weight may be considerable at 92.6 kilos, it’s unlikely to be regularly folded due to its design as a sturdy, non-portable model. The aptitude provides a sense of satisfaction, offering users an enjoyable experience. While many people rarely need to store their folding e-bikes in an automobile trunk or lift them up into one, those who do choose to leave theirs on the ground may find that the weight is less daunting than initially anticipated.
