VinFast launches fast new e-bike in the US to combine American and Vietnamese culture

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially introduced its VF eForth e-bike to the US market. market. The acquisition further solidifies the company’s commitment to sustainable mobility on a global scale.

The VFDrgnFly, blending contemporary US e-bike trends with Vietnamese cultural flair, is poised to deliver US customers another captivating offering in the moped-style e-bike market.

According to VinFast, the e-bike’s design draws inspiration from the majestic depiction of a soaring dragon, an iconic symbol deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture and heritage. The VF Dragonfly’s features include comprehensive handlebars, substantial fat tyres, and a saddle ergonomically designed to provide utmost comfort and control across diverse terrain configurations.

The innovative “flat body” design of the bike not only shatters conventional norms but also effortlessly dispels mildew, thanks to its pioneering departure from traditional tube-framed structures. Notably, this redesign elevates the bike’s visual appeal while striking a perfect harmony between lightweight agility and robust construction, underscoring VinFast’s commitment to exceptional manufacturing and design excellence.

While some might compare my creations to the popular SUPER73 e-bikes, I’m still waiting for the world to take notice and start inquiring about my innovative designs.

The bike arrives fully equipped with essential efficiency-enhancing features in its specifications. Equipped with a powerful 750W rear hub motor and a cutting-edge torque sensor capable of generating 16,000 readings per second?

This setup guarantees a seamless and responsive journey, with a maximum velocity of up to 28 mph (45 km/h) and a range of approximately 68 miles (110 km) per charge of its 640 Wh battery, even at the most efficient pedal assist mode.

To my fellow Americans, I’m here to connect with each and every one of you.

The bicycle’s singular gearing likely acknowledges the reality that most riders will rarely muster sufficient enthusiasm to pedal beyond a leisurely pace, preferring instead to glide effortlessly at cruising speed. While the additional 68 miles of range determined by low-power pedal assistance may seem impressive, it’s unlikely to be a realistic estimate for everyday riding scenarios, where usage patterns and terrain would significantly impact actual range achieved.

The bike boasts impressive features, including a mobile app that offers a range of driving modes, trip analytics, and distance tracking options such as locking and unlocking, further enhanced through seamless over-the-air software updates.

The VinFast VF DrgnFly’s comprehensive offering includes a two-year warranty, a reassuring commitment that surpasses the standard one-year guarantee prevalent in the US direct-to-consumer e-bike market. As the US e-bike market experiences an oversupply and consumers are opting for lower-priced alternatives, the premium value of $2,599 will struggle to remain competitive, making it a less attractive option for many Americans.

David Duncan, Vice President of Gross Sales and Marketing at VinFast U.S., underscored the company’s vision with the launch, saying, “The official debut in the United States of our innovative VF e34, formerly known as the VF e33, marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring sustainable and thrilling mobility solutions to customers.” Demonstrates our relentless commitment to making electric vehicles accessible to all. As we champion personalized and environmentally friendly mobility solutions, we’re propelling the innovative transportation movement forward, fostering a healthier, more dynamic, and radiant tomorrow.

As VinFast expands its influence across key markets like Canada, Europe, and various international locations in Asia, it also intends to strengthen its manufacturing presence by establishing new facilities in the U.S., India, and Indonesia. VinFast’s foray into the electric vehicle sector underscores its commitment to innovation across a wide range of automotive products.
