Greenworks unveils new e-bikes, go-karts, and e-UTV that run on power tool batteries
SHARE

Last year, we caught wind of a teaser from Greenworks that gave us a sneak peek at several transportation vehicles that could be powered by the company’s power tool battery technology. Here is the rewritten text:

For our initial showcase, we’re introducing a selection of innovative products from an esteemed electric power equipment manufacturer, featuring a range of options that include go-karts, bicycles, and a versatile utility task vehicle (UTV).

GreenWorks is most renowned for its comprehensive range of power tools and outdoor equipment, encompassing everything from construction instruments to lawn care solutions like lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and more.

Many of these instruments leverage the corporation’s highly efficient 60V and 80V batteries, which can also power electrical micromobility vehicles such as e-bikes, scooters, and others effectively.

Based on Greenworks’ latest announcement, it appears that their primary focus is…

Our extensive inventory includes a go-kart, minibike, three electric bicycles, an e-scooter, and a fully electric Utility Task Vehicle (UTV).

As President of GreenWorks North America, I am pleased to introduce our brand-new line, designed to provide a range of transportation options for your entire family.

“Our e-transportation product line marks a thrilling evolutionary milestone for Greenworks.” Introducing a comprehensive range of eco-friendly travel essentials, designed to delight the whole family with innovative solutions that combine sustainability with exceptional performance. Let’s shop green, live vibrant, and feel fantastic about it!

The GreenWorks 60-Volt Two-Seat Electrical Stealth Collection Go-Kart is touted as a sustainable transportation solution ideal for navigating neighbourhoods, forests, trails, and gravel paths with ease.

The e-bike features a powerful pair of brushless rear hub motors with a combined output of 3,000 watts, enabling it to reach impressive top speeds of 25 miles per hour (40 kilometers per hour) when operating in sport mode, or a more economical 15 miles per hour (25 kilometers per hour) when set to eco mode. Its pair of 60V 8.0Ah batteries enables a range of up to 20 miles (32 km) at an affordable cost, accompanied by a swift dual-port charger that quickly recharges the power source.

The go-kart boasts a durable metal body and robust cushioned roll cage bars engineered to prioritize both safety and durability. The kart is equipped with comprehensive features, including both front and rear braking systems, a Bluetooth audio setup for entertainment, and LED lights at the front and rear for enhanced visibility. The two-seat lift can support up to 275 kilograms (approximately 612 pounds). While height and agility may not be crucial for embarking on this adventure, promotional images do suggest that children are involved. You might well consider that you’re about to try to compress your 5’7″ (170 cm) frame into it, though.

The Kart is listed at a price of $1,999 USD and can be found on both Tractor Provide’s website and directly on Greeworks’ personal website. A new electric vehicle model with an 80-volt powertrain is set to debut in early 2024.

The Greenworks 60-Volt 19″ Electrical Stealth Collection Minibike boasts a 40% increase in power and speed compared to traditional gas-powered models, while also eliminating noise, heat, and maintenance concerns.

The company claims that this product is suitable for use on a variety of terrain types, including gravel, muddy and grassy surfaces. With the touch of a push-button starter, the electrical minibike springs to life, leveraging its rear hub motor to reach velocities of up to 25 miles per hour in sports mode or 20 miles per hour in eco mode.

While there’s little to no guidance provided, the images do showcase a mature individual utilizing the product with apparent familiarity.

greenworks minibike

Equipped with two high-capacity 60V 8.0Ah lithium-ion batteries, this e-bike offers an impressive range of approximately 20 miles (32 km), powered by the rechargeable energy storage system. With its compact design, the minibike’s tight quarters are amplified by the presence of entrance and rear suspension, not to mention its chunky 19-inch fat tires. The minibike features hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power.

The bike boasts a robust IPX4 weather-resistance rating, combined with a durable metal body engineered for long-lasting performance. This bike features a built-in Bluetooth audio system for enjoyable leisure and sports activities, as well as a multi-mode headlight, rear tail light, and side reflectors. The Greenworks electric bicycle, boasting a capacity of 220 pounds or 100 kg, has recently been unveiled at Tractor Supply Co. and is now available in the United States for $1,499.

An 80-volt upgraded model is poised to hit the market in early 2024.

The GreenWorks 80-Volt 20″ Fat-Tire Utility E-Bike promises seamless transitions between roadways and trails, thanks to its advanced full-suspension system and robust 20″x4″ fat tyres. The bicycle features an aluminium frame and a high-performance brushless rear-hub motor capable of reaching speeds of up to 20 mph (32 km/h). The drivetrain boasts a 7-speed transmission and offers three intuitive pedal-assist modes for seamless gear shifting.

With its supplied 80-volt 4.0Ah battery, the Class 2 e-bike boasts a range of approximately 20 miles at 32 km/h or 50-minute run time, whichever comes first; it’s claimed to recharge in a remarkably swift 40 minutes, raising suspicions about its feasibility.

Equipped with a bright LED headlight, LED taillight, and high-visibility side reflectors. The e-bike’s robust design accommodates riders of considerable weight, up to 300 kilograms (135 kg), with a planned release in early 2024.

GreenWorks has introduced two new e-bikes: an adventurous fat-tire option designed for rugged terrain, as well as a commuter-focused model ideal for navigating urban streets. While individual functions may exhibit some variations, most share similar characteristics with the overall suspension and fat-tire-equipped e-bike configuration in general. Two fashion trends are predicted to transform and become mainstream by 2024.

A sleek new electric scooter was also unveiled, featuring a compact 350W hub motor and two high-capacity 24V 4.0 Ah batteries.

The scooter’s top speed reaches an impressive 18 mph (30 km/h), while its battery life offers a maximum range of 14 miles (22 km) per charge for both batteries. When fully drained, these batteries can be restored to full capacity within just two hours.

The forthcoming folding scooter promises to support riders weighing up to 265 kilograms (approximately 590 pounds), with a launch date set for 2024.

Here’s an edited version:

The pièce de résistance among Greenworks’ latest launches is undoubtedly the innovative 60-Volt Electric Utility Task Vehicle (UTV), boasting exceptional spectacle.

Claiming a range of up to 20 miles (32 km) on a single charge, the UTV’s six 60V 8.0Ah batteries are designed to provide ample power for extended journeys. The total savings amount to 2.88 kWh, achieved through the efficient use of six instrument batteries.

The two-seat utility vehicle achieves top speeds of 15 miles per hour and showcases a payload capacity of 1,200 pounds in its electrically operated bed, accompanied by an additional towing capacity of 1,112 pounds.

Massive 12.4-inch turf tires and an impressive 8.5 inches of floor clearance enable effortless traversal through even the most challenging terrain, guaranteeing a smooth ride amidst rugged landscapes. To ensure seamless operation, this system incorporates a fail-safe feature that automatically activates in case of an unexpected shutdown. Equipped as standard are two convenient cup holders.

The new UTV is poised for a launch in early 2024. While worth isn’t explicitly stated, we do know that Greenworks will offer a tool-only bundle, which can lead to significant savings for those who already possess six 60V 8.0Ah Greenworks batteries for other tools or e-bikes in their arsenal.

Electrek’s Take

That is superior information. Prior to discovering Greenworks’ impressive lineup, I was quite enthusiastic about EGO’s innovative electrical minibike powered by energy instrument batteries. However, Greenworks has surpassed expectations with their own minibike, already available for shipping and boasting a diverse range of electric vehicles in various stages of readiness for market.

I’m bound to stay ahead of each of these circumstances. taking part in reviewing.
